Publication number: 20050064365Abstract: The dental model pouring jig of the present invention includes a base member that supports a model base support member and a mold support member. The model base support member is secured to the base member and is capable of mounting a dental model base. The mold support member is adjustably secured to the base member and capable of mounting a mold of a person's teeth. The mold support member is adjustable relative to the model base support member to properly position the mold adjacent the dental model base. A pin locator may be mounted to the model base support member in place of the dental model base to assist in proper alignment of the mold on the mold support member prior to the dental model base being mounted to the model base support member.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 11, 2004Publication date: March 24, 2005Applicant: Merchant & Gould P.C.Inventor: Ronald Huffman

Patent number: 6488746Abstract: An air filter assembly for removing particulate matter from an incoming dirty air stream. The assembly includes a housing having an inlet, an outlet, a dirty air chamber and a clean air chamber and a non-cylindrical shaped elongated filter element arranged within the dirty air chamber constructed to remove particulate matter from an incoming air stream. A plurality of non-cylindrical filter elements are preferred. The non-cylindrical filter elements provide a decreased incoming air stream velocity when compared to conventional cylindrical filter elements having the same surface area. Alternately, the non-cylindrical filter elements allow an increase in the volume of incoming air when compared to conventional cylindrical filter elements having the same surface area.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 2002Date of Patent: December 3, 2002Assignee: Merchant & GouldInventors: Kristofer G. Publication number: 20020054722Abstract: A tapered roller bearing comprising an outer race, a pair of axially adjacent inner races, and two cages interposed between the inner and outer races to retain two sets of rollers. The radially outer surface of each inner race has, close to the end facing the center of the bearing, a groove able to receive a respective plurality of radially inwardly projecting portions of the parts of the cages disposed close to the center of the bearing so that the cages retain the rollers on the respective inner races during the handling and assembly steps which precede mounting of the sub-units comprising the inner race, cage and rollers into the outer race.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 3, 2000Publication date: May 9, 2002Applicant: MERCHANT & GOULD P.C.Inventors: Angelo Vignotto, Francesco Savarese

Publication number: 20020039585Abstract: This invention is directed to mutant SPE-C toxins or fragments thereof, vaccine and pharmaceutical compositions, and methods of using the vaccine and pharmaceutical compositions. The preferred SPE-C toxin has at least one amino acid change and is substantially non-lethal compared with the wild type SPE-C toxin. The mutant SPE-C toxins can form vaccine compositions useful to protect animals against the biological activities of wild type SPE-C toxin.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 14, 1999Publication date: April 4, 2002Applicant: MERCHANT & GOULDInventors: PATRICK M SCHLIEVERT, DOUGLAS OHLENDORF, DAVID T MITCHELL, PAMALA J GAHR

Publication number: 20010052309Abstract: A hinge for wings such as ironing board supports the board off a support (3) on pairs of link (2, 3) which engage (29, 30) to limit angular movement beyond a working disposition. The board (24) may be folded and collapsed into a wall mounted cover (28). The wall mounted unit might be fitted to a height adjustment mechanism (118). The links (2, 3) may be combined with a means (63) increasing the angular extent of the folding action to collapse the folded board (80) into a drawer unit (84). The board may be mounted to a turntable (101) to allow for angular movement. The board (24) may be supported on supports (35) attached to sliding tracks (34) to enable movement to a storage position in a cabinet (32).Type: ApplicationFiled: October 20, 1998Publication date: December 20, 2001Applicant: Merchant & Gould P.C.Inventor: GARY WILLIAM ALLEN

Patent number: 4171089Abstract: A self-cleaning heat exchanger in combination with a home furnace system which draws combustion air from outside the home is disclosed. Gases of combustion are drawn up through a plurality of vertical tubes and out a chimney by a fan mounted in the chimney. The lower portions of the tubes are cooled by inside air drawn over them by the return air blower of the furnace, the upper portions of the tubes are cooled by cold outside air drawn across them by the furnace burner unit. Moisture which condenses in the upper portions of the tubes is drawn down through them by gravity. The higher temperature in the lower part of the tubes causes this condensate to revaporize and rise to the upper portion of the tubes, where the process repeats itself. As more water vapor enters the tubes in the flue gas, distilled condensate eventually drops out of the tubes and runs into a drain at the lower end of the heat exchanger.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 1977Date of Patent: October 16, 1979Assignees: George W.
