Abstract: Method and means for orthopedic splinting or bracing comprise materials and procedures for straitjacketing body portions with one or more series of elongate splints of a relatively rigid plastic material in mutually spaced relationship so the splints extend longitudinally of the body part or parts concerned. Bands of perforated plastic material are applied transversely of and about the series of splints and are secured thereto to hold them in place. In those instances in which the splinting is above and below a joint, hinge means may be secured to the respective straitjacket structures to enable effective use of the joint during convalescence.
