    Abstract: The nose wheel landing gear has the wheel (23) coupled to the rest of the landing gear by a deformable parallelogram (20, 37, 33, 13) which is located to one side of the wheel (23), the wheel lever (20) which supports the wheel is only slightly longer than the wheel radius. This arrangement enables the landing gear to be shortened when retracted without the wheel itself being offset sideways, thereby occupying less space overall.
