    Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of a wireless monitoring device includes a sensitive patch with a sensor for sensing a body part and generating a signal. A wireless transmitter includes a first connection portion coupling to the sensitive patch for transmitting the signal. A mounting belt device is affixed to the wireless transmitter and securable in a closed loop configuration for coupling the wireless transmitter to an object. A wireless receiver is adapted for receiving the signal. The wireless receiver includes a display surface for displaying a value corresponding the signal and a supporting surface with a second connection portion. The wireless receiver and the wireless transmitter are detachably combined by coupling the first connection portion and the second connection portion, thereby keeping the wireless receiver and the wireless transmitter in an upright position.

    Abstract: A thermometer includes a tip member with a thermal contact surface and a first thermal sensor disposed therein for sensing the temperature thereof and producing a first temperature signal. A probe member secured to the tip member includes a front end portion with a thermal compensation point and a second thermal sensor is disposed within the front end portion for sensing the temperature of the thermal compensation point and producing a second temperature signal. A processing unit, disposed within the probe member for receiving the first and second temperature signal, selects a thermal compensation value corresponding to the second temperature signal at a rate of temperature change of the first temperature signal lower than a predetermined value. The thermal compensation value is adapted to compensate the first temperature signal thereby producing an estimated temperature value. And a display unit displays a temperature reading based on the estimated temperature value.

    Abstract: A thermometer is constituted by a flexible probe body and a metal tip member with a thermal contact surface. The flexible probe body including a narrower space neighboring the metal tip member and a wider space communicated with the narrower space is secured to the metal tip member by a hook structure. A set of lead wires is coupled to the thermal sensor for transmission of the temperature signal. In particular, a thermally conductive adhesive material filling the metal tip member, the narrower space and the wider space is cured to integrately form the hook structure.

    Abstract: A deflectable probe for use in a thermometer. The deflectable probe is constituted by a bendable probe body and a hollow tip member secured thereto. Furthermore, a deflectable member includes a main portion disposed in the bendable probe body. When the bendable probe body is subjected to a force, deformation of the main portion occurs. In particular, the deformation cannot be undone by a return force from the bendable probe body when the applied force is removed, so that the bendable probe body is sustained in a bent form. A space is formed between the hollow pipe and the main portion of the deflectable member for deformation of the main portion to prevent the deflectable member being easily pushed into the hollow cavity and avoid the lead wires being easily cut off.
