Patent number: 7454867Abstract: In a structure for supporting components of a wall, one lower profile section is shaped to form longitudinal recesses and an operating unit is associated with the lower profile section base, and removably coupled at top to at least one structural element. The operating unit has one foot, shaped to form at least one protrusion for coupling, when the operating unit is rotated about a vertical axis, with the longitudinal recesses by engagement at least of the protrusion with a matching portion of the recesses, thus forming a bayonet joint between the operating unit and the lower profile section.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 2006Date of Patent: November 25, 2008Assignee: Metal Work S.r.l.Inventor: Bruno Nicoletti

Publication number: 20070068090Abstract: In a prefabricated wall, a frame of the wall is formed by uprights and crossbars obtained from tubular bars. A coordinated connection system is aimed at removably fastening furniture elements to the frame using longitudinal undercut grooves made in the tubular bars. First and second clamp means for hanging furniture elements, such as shelves and wall hanging elements, engage with the undercut grooves arranged both in horizontal and vertical, and fasten the cantilevered supports to the tubular bars by screw tightening. The cantilevered supports carry, position and fix the furniture elements. Also first and second multiple joining means for bearing furniture elements, such as desk tops, or structural elements, such as support feet of the wall, engage with the undercut grooves and fasten the bearing or structural furniture elements to the tubular bars by screw tightening.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 8, 2006Publication date: March 29, 2007Applicant: Metal Work S.r.l.Inventor: Bruno Nicoletti

Patent number: 7014384Abstract: The connection system is for connecting structural elements of pieces of furniture, which structural elements include a plurality of support posts and a plurality of bars which are fastened to corresponding posts in accordance with predetermined geometrical configurations, to build a support structure for the above mentioned pieces of furniture. The connection system includes, for each post, a tube fastened to an end of the post, a plurality of connection annular elements for each connection between the bars and the posts, each one of the annular elements delimiting a hollow space provided for the coaxial coupling with a corresponding tube; and fasteners for fastening each bar to at least one connection annular element. The fasteners, in particular, include a side protrusion, for instance shaped like a dovetail, and a couple of mobile fastening clamps situated at the ends of the bar and designed for clamping the side protrusion for making a stable connection between the bar and the post.Type: GrantFiled: June 2, 2003Date of Patent: March 21, 2006Assignee: Metal Work S.r.l.Inventor: Bruno Nicoletti

Publication number: 20030226478Abstract: A modular structure for furniture includes a tubular post formed by a pair of channel-bars disposed so that one faces the other and secured to each other by a base plate and a cross-bar. A series of longitudinal grooves, namely internal grooves made in the inner walls of the channel-bars, and external grooves made on the outer walls of the channel-bars. A support leg extends diagonally from an upper part of the post and is connected to the post by means of a connection member engaging one of the external grooves of the post. The cross-bar is formed by a “U”-shaped bar with an open side turned upwards, so as to form a channel closed at top by a cover element. The base plate and the cross-bar are connected to the post by means of connection pegs engaging the internal groove of the post. A bracket for supporting a working surface is fastened at bottom of the cross-bar by a clamp. A pair of counter-facing sides are joined to the post with a snap fit.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 6, 2003Publication date: December 11, 2003Applicant: METAL WORK S.r.l.Inventor: Bruno Nicoletti

Patent number: 6185975Abstract: In an apparatus for cold bending a metal sheet for making an elongated article with a predetermined pro-file, supports are provided to receive opposite ends of the sheet being formed. A form, whose cross section defines a predetermined profile, is operated perpendicularly with respect to its longitudinal axis, so as to clamp the sheet, resting on the supports, to a stop. Bending members are carried by two plates which are mounted for oscillating on a vertical plane transversal to the form, so that the bending members rotate around spindles parallel to the stop plate. The bending members are operated in time relation with a synchronous movement of the form and of the stop, so as to fold the two ends of the sheet piece over the form.Type: GrantFiled: August 7, 1999Date of Patent: February 13, 2001Assignee: Metal Work S.r.l.Inventor: Bruno Nicoletti
