    Abstract: A decking clamp for use in an underhung roof system. A C-shape housing has opposed arms and a variable gap opening in a clamping cavity. A threaded retention nut is secured within two opposed slots in a front section of one of the opposed arms rearward of a partition wall. The retention nut will not fall out of the housing during use by an installer.
