Abstract: A molding (1) composed of a base body, formed by means of an injection molding process, and a fastening device (13) which is connected thereto while it is being shaped, is intended to be plugged onto the web (3) of the bodywork of a vehicle. In order to achieve simple handling in terms of mounting but also a stable seat of the molding on the web (3), said molding is characterized by a U-shaped clamp insert (14) which is composed of plastic and which is in direct contact with the web (3), wherein the clamp insert (14) is itself placed in a metallic clamp part (15) and is arranged secured therein, and wherein the system which constitutes the fastening device (13) and is composed of the clamp insert (14) and clamp part (15) is integrated into the material of the aforesaid base body. A seat of the molding (1) on the web (3) is achieved which is permanently fixed by virtue of the elastic properties of the clamp part (15) and is secured by frictional engagement between the web (3) and the clamp insert (14).

  • Publication number: 20100011671
Abstract: The invention relates to a sealing profile (27) which is used as a seal on the window (4) of a vehicle door and which consists of a fastening section (28) to be put onto a ridge (13) and a sealing section (30) designed to rest against the window (4) when the latter is closed. The sealing section (30) is characterized by at least one sealing lip (32) onto the free end of which a section (32?) is molded which is bent in the direction of the fastening section (28). Said bent section is deflected in the direction of the lower side (31?) of an additional sealing lip (31) when the window (4) is closed and defines therewith a closed space (33) that is open in the open state of the window (4). The space (33) formed by the sealing lip (31) being rolled up results in favorable damping properties and reduced closing forces as compared to a classical hollow profile, owing to an increased supporting effect on ventilation.

  • Publication number: 20090241430
Abstract: A seal arrangement consists of a U-shaped reception profile (1), the base side of which is designed to be fastened to a body part, and of an attachment profile (4) which has a U-shaped holding part (17) which is attached onto one leg (3) of the reception profile (1). The reception profile (1) forms a reception space (6) for bordering a pane (42), which reception space is delimited by hollow profile parts (10, 18) which lie opposite one another and are intended for bearing sealingly against the pane (42) and which are integrally formed in each case on the reception profile (1) and on the attachment profile (4). With the pane (42) moved out of the reception space (6), the hollow profile parts (10, 18) bear under elastic prestress one against the other. The attachment part (4) can be mounted and demounted independently of the reception part, so that the reception profile (1) can be utilized for the exact positioning of the seal arrangement as a whole.

  • Publication number: 20090021054
Abstract: A drainage arrangement for a vehicle roof comprising two roof parts (1, 2) which are arranged on a vehicle body in a manner such that they can be pivoted between a closed position and an open position is formed by an elastic drainage line which interacts with the pivotably mounted, fixed roof parts (1, 2) and, with regard to fault-free operation, is divided into two sections which are connected to each other via a separating device (8), wherein the individual sections move virtually as rigid bodies during the pivoting movement of the roof parts (1, 2). As a consequence of a pivoting movement of the linkage supporting the roof parts (1, 2), the separating device (8) can be switched between an open position, in which rainwater can be discharged in an orderly manner via the drainage line, and a closed position, in which rainwater is held back in a collecting region containing a collecting container (6).

  • Publication number: 20080246304
Abstract: A weatherstrip intended for positioning on the flange of the edge of the opening of a vehicle consists of a side-by-side arrangement of a tubular sealing section (1), a U-shaped fastening section (2) and a strip (3) laterally formed on the fastening section (2), which together with a limb (2?) of the fastening section (2) circumscribes a cavity (9?) which is open toward the underside (1?) of the weatherstrip. The cross-sectional profile of the sealing section (1) is partially formed by the limb (2??) of the fastening section (2) facing said sealing section, ventilation holes (18) located on the underside of the weatherstrip facing the aforementioned edge, forming a region of the sealing section (1) of greatest wall thickness.

  • Publication number: 20080136121
Abstract: In order to easily permit functionally correct mounting of a sealing strip (3) which is intended for use on the frame structure of a vehicle opening, a sealing arrangement is proposed which is composed of an attachment section (4) and a sealing section (5), wherein aids are provided which are intended for carrying out uniquely determined positioning on a section (2) of the aforesaid frame structure. These aids are a groove (7) which is configured to receive a frame part of the frame structure and which extends along the entire length of the sealing strip (3) and whose maximum insertion depth signals the precise positioning of the sealing strip on the aforesaid frame part. These aids can also be a bead (15) which is integrally formed on the attachment section (4) and which performs the function of a spacing element in relation to a stop surface of the aforesaid frame structure and is connected to the attachment section in a releasable, in particular tear-off connection.

  • Patent number: 7320819
Abstract: A sealing strip is intended to seal a gap between two parts which are movable relative to each other. The sealing strip has a surface which is intended to adhere to one of the two parts and which has an adhesive layer. Before it is adhered to the one part, the adhesive layer is covered with a cover sheet. In order to make it easier to remove the cover sheet from the adhesive layer a pull-thread is provided which passes through the cover sheet and has at least one free end that protrudes from the sealing strip.

  • Publication number: 20070094933
Abstract: A U-shaped sealing strip arranged for mounting on a frame structure of a vehicle surrounds a space which is intended to receive a pane and which has a lengthwise changing depth dimension. The U-shaped structure comprises two L-shaped shaped parts of which at least one has a generally L-shaped configuration and comprises a base part intended for fixing on the frame structure and a side part extending perpendicular thereto. At least one of the two shaped parts is adjustably fixed on the frame structure for adjustment in a direction perpendicular to the surface of the pane in such a way that the contact pressure of the sealing lip is adjustable. The contact pressure of the sealing lips on the pane can be adjusted in a simple manner in accordance with specific requirements in order to secure a reliable sealing effect as well as to reduce wear.

  • Publication number: 20050249907
Abstract: A sealing profile intended to seal a gap between the outer boundary of a motor vehicle door and its allocated opening of a motor vehicle construction comprises a tube-like construction that consists of at least two tubular profiles (4, 5) that are disposed one inside the other. The two tubular profiles are produced for example during co-extrusion and are formed in terms of construction and material with the proviso that the inner tubular profile (5) provides a resilient restoring force whereas the outer tubular profile (4) is chosen with regard to its surface properties, in particular the provision of a sealing function, which requires adaptation to dimensional inaccuracies and inequalities in the region of the boundary surfaces defining the sealing gap. An adhesive region (2) that is intended to connect to the one of the two boundaries is applied to the sealing profile. For example, the inner tubular profile can consist of silicone and the outer tubular profile can consist of sponge rubber or soft rubber.
