  • Patent number: 6547045
Abstract: In an air-type shock absorber, a piston is sealing situated in a cylinder chamber. A vacuum state occurs in a piston bearing side of the cylinder chamber when a piston is pushed. Also, an air reservoir is provided at a side opposite to the piston bearing to have a sealed structure, so that a force of absorbing a shock can be increased to have the same effect as in an oil-type shock absorber. The shock absorber can be used not only at a place requiring cleanness but also in adverse environment in which the shock absorber is exposed to water or coolant, and durability of the shock absorber is also improved.

  • Patent number: 6267360
Abstract: A shock absorber is formed of a cylinder having a stopping surface, a piston slidably situated in the cylinder to be moved when it is pushed by a moving member, and a switching device attached to the cylinder to be actuated right before the piston abuts against the stopping surface of the cylinder. An electromagnetic valve is connected to the switching device. The electromagnetic valve has a first position, and a second position for allowing air in the cylinder to escape outwardly when the piston is moved and the electromagnetic valve is operated by the switching device. A spring cooperates with the piston to return the piston to a position before the switching device is operated when a pressing force applied to the piston is removed by retreat of the moving member after the switching device is actuated.

  • Patent number: 6177642
Abstract: A touch sensor of the invention includes an adjusting mechanism to adjust a position of the touch sensor relative to a processing machine. The touch sensor includes an arm attached to the processing machine, a housing attached to the arm and having a sensor section with a contact and a flange, a fastening device for fastening the housing to the arm, and an eccentrically rotating device including an eccentric axis having a first axis and a second axis eccentrically attached to the first axis. A circular hole is formed in one of the housing and the arm to engage the first axis, and an elongated slot is provided in the other of the housing and the arm to engage the second axis. Upon rotation of the eccentric axis, a position of the contact attached to the housing is adjusted relative to the arm or processing machine.

  • Patent number: 6060855
Abstract: In a moving apparatus of an arm for a tool edge sensor, the arm can be moved between a housing position which does not obstruct a processing work and a detecting position projected from the housing position. The apparatus is provided with a detecting sensor at a forward end of the arm, a moving device for moving the arm between the housing position and the detecting position, end a positioning device formed of at least six-point contacts arranged separately for three-dimensionally restricting the arm at the detecting position. When the arm is moved between the housing position and a position right before the detecting position, it is moved by the moving device, and at the detecting position of the arm, the arm is released from the moving device and positioned only by the positioning device. Since a positioning error due to the moving device at the time of positioning the detecting position does not occur, the arm can be positioned extremely accurately.

  • Patent number: 5959271
Abstract: A stopping device with a switch of the invention includes a bolt with a head portion, a control signal generating device situated in a bolt through hole of the bolt, and a sliding member. The sliding member includes a shaft slidably situated in the head through hole, a flange attached to the shaft and having a second stopping face facing a first stopping face of the head portion, and an end portion extending from the flange to contact an object to be detected. After the object contacts the end portion, until the second stopping face abuts against the first stopping face, the control signal generating device produces a control signal. A sealing device is installed between the head portion and the sliding member. Thus, dustproof and waterproof effects can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 5819429
Abstract: A touch sensor of the invention can output a directional information from which direction an object to be measured touches a contact, as well as a positional information. The touch sensor includes a movable plate; at least four movable support points provided on the movable plate in a rectangular shape; a measuring shaft attached to the movable plate to extend perpendicularly thereto; and a base plate situated at a side facing the movable support points and having at least four fixed support portions corresponding to the respective support points. When no force is applied to the measuring shaft, all the support points and support portions contact together. When the object to be measured touches a contact portion, two of the support points situated adjacent to each other become temporary rotational supporting points, and two support points provided at a side opposite to the temporary rotational supporting points are separated from the support members corresponding thereto.
