Abstract: A paper machine fabric that includes at least two separate layers that are formed of at least two separate yarn systems, one forming the paper side and composed of longitudinal and crosswise yarns and one forming the wear side and composed of longitudinal and crosswise yarns, the yarn systems being arranged to form structures independent of each other in the longitudinal and cross directions of the fabric. The structures are bound to each other by means of a binding yarn system, whereby the binding yarns in the binding yarn system are arranged to form part of the layer on the paper-side surface. Each binding yarn of the binding yarn system is arranged on the wear side to bind in the weave pattern repeat to more yarns than on the paper side.

The press belt comprises a base formed of heat-resistant elastomer, inside which base there is a support structure comprising a plurality of support yarns. At least some of the support yarns are heat-resistant polymer yarns, the polymer structure of the material of which comprises a naphthalene group.

Abstract: A disc filter includes several triangular sectors that are connected from their neck section to the body of the disc filter. The sectors form a relatively thin disc that is rotated during filtration in a basin that contains a suspension to be filtered. The side surfaces of the sector have openings through which liquid in the suspension passes into several essentially radial flow channels inside the sector to flow on to the neck section and away from the sector. A separating wall is formed between two adjacent radial flow channels. Furthermore, the sector is made of two side elements, which are of plastic material and the mating surfaces of which are placed against each other.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a press felt with a seam, to a press felt, and a base fabric of a press felt. The base fabric is a one-base structure with machine direction yarns forming seam loops and further machine direction yarns running in the web-side surface layer. The machine direction yarns weave with cross yarns. The yarn ratio of the surface layer machine direction yarns to the intermediate layer and further the bottom layer machine direction yarns is at least 2:1:1. In addition, the surface layer machine direction yarns have a long run and their cross-sectional area is smaller than the yarns forming the seam loops.
