  • Patent number: 8038844
Abstract: A device for feeding cellulose-containing pulp from a dewatering unit, the dewatered pulp being discharged via an outlet included in the dewatering unit to a reception means positioned below the outlet, whereupon the pulp is transported to a stand pipe via an inlet included in the stand pipe, in which stand pipe the pulp falls freely under the influence of gravity, the reception means being positioned at a higher level than the inlet of the stand pipe. At least one feeding down surface is arranged which extends from the reception means to the inlet of the stand pipe, and the transport of the pulp between the reception means and the inlet of the stand pipe is effected by feeding the pulp downwards along this feeding down surface under the influence of gravity, the pulp being diluted during the feeding of the pulp downwards.

  • Publication number: 20110233130
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for fixing an endless wire (2) to a cylindrical drum (1). The endless wire (2) is shrunk around the whole circumference of the cylindrical drum (1), such that the edge portions (3) of the endless wire (2) are located near the edge sections (4) of the cylindrical drum. The shrunk endless wire (2) has a length that makes it fit tightly around said drum (1). At least two strips (5) of a shrinkable material have been shrunk around the edge portions (3) of the endless wire (2) that is arranged on the cylindrical drum (1), such that they form endless strips (5) for holding the edge portions (3) of the endless wire (2) fixed around the whole circumference of the cylindrical drum (1). The shrunk strips (5) also have a length that make them fit tightly around said drum and such that they assist in keeping the edge portions (3) of the endless wire (2) fixed around the cylindrical drum (1).

  • Patent number: 8011115
Abstract: A fiber-web machine dryer section has a drying group with single-wire draw so the drying wire (F) presses the web (W) against heated cylinder surfaces with the web (W) at the side of the outside curve of reversing cylinders (11) situated between drying cylinders (10, 12). A pocket space (T) is formed between two adjacent drying cylinders (10) and a reversing cylinder (11) situated between them, and the drying wire (F). A negative pressure component (20) placed in the pocket space (T) creates a pressure difference over the drying wire (F) and the web (W) for attaching the web (W) to the drying wire (F) so the cross-direction shrinkage of the web (W) is controllable. The wire tension (F) is maintained at a level help control cross-direction shrinkage of the web. The pocket space (T) is sealed by sealing members (25, 26) to maintain negative pressure in the pocket space.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for exhausting gas from a coating material. The coating material is fed in the bottom part area of a drum (3) rotating around an essentially vertical axis inside a vacuum tank (1), whereby the rotating motion of the drum causes the coating material to rise up the inner wall of the drum and to discharge from the upper edge of the drum as a thin film against the inner wall of a vacuum tank, wherefrom the coating material flows downwards.
