Abstract: An automatic machine for the preparation of half-packages starting from corresponding blanks preferably made of cardboard, the automatic machine comprising: a frame; at least one mould designed to receive a blank; a feed device for feeding the mould along a pre-defined path; and a plurality of devices set along the path for folding respective portions of the blank on the mould so as to form a corresponding half-package; the automatic machine being characterized in that at least one part of the plurality of devices is fixed with respect to the frame and to the feed device and in that a device is provided which is designed to maintain the faces of the mould constantly parallel to themselves at any point of the path.

Abstract: The machine provides for metering liquid pharmaceutical products into bottom shells, and has: a bottom part rotating about a respective vertical axis; a number of first vertical through holes formed in the bottom part; a piston movable reciprocatingly along a respective first hole; a bottom-shell belt meshing with a portion of the bottom part; a rotary top part defined by a vessel containing the pharmaceutical product; a rotary central part coaxial and angularly integral with the bottom part and the top part; a second hole, for each first hole, formed radially along the central part; and a valve housed in each of the second holes. Two separate channels are formed in the valve; and the valve rotates between a first angular position in which a first channel hydraulically connects the inside of the vessel to a metering chamber defined along the first hole, and a second angular position in which a second channel hydraulically connects the chamber to the inside of the bottom shell.

Abstract: An orienting assembly for medicinal capsules; the orienting assembly being characterized by having a rotary drum having seats, each for housing a top or bottom shell oriented in one of two opposite spatial directions; and by having a nozzle for generating compressed air jets, so that, if the top or bottom shell is oriented with the convexity facing the nozzle, the initial position of the top or bottom shell remains unchanged; whereas, if the top or bottom shell is oriented with the concavity facing the nozzle, the top or bottom shell is inverted by the compressed air jet generated by the nozzle; the invention also relating to a supply and orienting unit featuring the above orienting assembly.

Abstract: A unit for orienting and supplying bottom shells, the unit having a drum rotating about a vertical axis and in turn having a number of seats, each for housing one bottom shell at a time; the unit also having a hopper for successively feeding a bottom shell into each seat on the drum; and an ejecting pin for successively ejecting each bottom shell from the respective seat so that the bottom shell drops inside an unloading conduit connected to the seat; the bottom shell being positioned indifferently, inside each seat, with the concavity facing inwards or outwards of the seat; and each seat being so formed that the bottom shell transferred into the unloading conduit is always oriented the same way; a pocket conveyor also being provided to pick up the succession of equioriented bottom shells issuing from the unloading conduits.

Abstract: A method of controlling the weight of granulated products on a multiple metering machine; the method operating on a machine performing a metering cycle in which at least two products are metered into a container; and the method including: a step wherein the dosage of each product is formed in a chamber; at least one step wherein one of the metered products is transferred from the chamber to the container; at least one step wherein one of the metered products is extracted from the chamber; and a step wherein the products inside the container are weighed at the end of the metering cycle.

Abstract: A machine for metering pharmaceutical products into containers, each presenting, at least one given portion, a seat for a pharmaceutical product in the form of small-size particles; a conveyor being provided to convey the containers in a given direction through an operating station; a metering unit being provided for feeding the product into the containers by means of at least one dispenser; the dispenser presenting a number of nozzles for receiving the product from a hopper of the dispenser and subsequently feeding the product into the seat and a dispensing device for regulating flow of the product through the nozzles.

Abstract: A machine for dosing a pharmaceutical product into capsules, in which a dosing unit doses a pre-determined quantity of the product into empty capsules by means of dosers and test apparatus operable to test the quantity of the product dosed by the dosers on a sample of the capsules; the testing apparatus including a first and a second weighing unit to weigh, respectively, a capsule before the dosing unit and after the dosing unit; the machine including monitoring means operable, for each capsule of the sample, to evaluate the difference between the weight detected, respectively, by the first and second weighing units to determine the quantity of dosed product.

Abstract: A machine for dosing powdered pharmaceutical from a container in which the powdered pharmaceutical is present as a layer. An element is driven by a first drive to undergo horizontal translation between a first position for sampling powder in the container and a second position for release of the powder into a receiving seat. A device which supports a dosage unit is moved by the element and when the element is in the first position a second drive translates the device vertically in relation to the element so that the dosage unit penetrates into the powder and removes a measured amount thereof. A third drive operates the dosage unit to release the powder therefrom into the receiving seat when the element is in the second position. The first and second drives are independently operable to displace the dosage units respectively in horizontal and vertical directions.

Abstract: A machine for dispensing powder products into suitable receptacles comprises a rotating container in which is defined a withdrawal zone, a dispensing unit, and a fixed device which levels the produce in the container. The device includes a member located upstream of the withdrawal zone and having a first portion which levels the product into a layer and a second portion which defines a channel which directs the product accumulated on this first portion in excess of the layer, towards a part of the container downstream of the withdrawal zone; and a member positioned downstream of the withdrawal zone, along which the excess product slides. The latter member defines with a central part of the container, a passage which directs the excess product towards a part of the container upstream of the fixed device.

Abstract: A machine moistens a cover of a capsule for pharmaceutical products and includes a supply hopper for these covers. The supply hopper has an outlet opening with withdrawal means operable to withdraw the covers from the supply hopper through this opening. Moistening means moistens, with a sealing liquid the rim of each cover located on the withdrawal means. The withdrawal means includes a first disc mounted for rotation about axes transverse to another. A plurality of withdrawal devices and moistening devices are carried by the first disc.

Abstract: Process and plant for capsuling products, particularly pharmaceutical products, using capsules each consisting of a bottom, containing the product itself, and a removable top, whereby each bottom, once separated from the respective top, is fed by a conveying member through a number of filling and control stations to a closing device where each bottom is fitted with the respective top supplied to the closing device along a separate route running through a parking device.

Abstract: A device wherein pharmaceutical capsules, each consisting of a separable bottom for receiving the said pharmaceutical product and a separable top for closing the said bottom, are fed in bulk into an input feedbox and sent, through a number of withdrawal and positioning ducts, to a rotary conveying device having two parts, one over the other, the first having a number of upper recesses for the tops and the second having a number of lower recesses for the respective bottoms, the rotary conveying device cooperating with a suction opening device designed to hold the tops inside the upper recesses and to suck the bottoms into the lower recesses, so as to separate the latter from the respective tops.

Abstract: A filling machine for capsules, in which a pharmaceutical paste contained in a hopper is fed under pressure to a dosing chamber, the inlet and the outlet of which are controlled by a dosing member adapted to receive some paste and movable within the dosing chamber between a paste receiving position, in which the dosing member communicates with the dosing chamber inlet, but not with the outlet thereof, and a paste releasing position, in which the dosing member closes the inlet of the dosing chamber and communicates with the outlet thereof to deliver to an external capsule a metered quantity of paste pushed through the chamber outlet by a piston engaging the dosing member.

Abstract: The present invention concerns a method for obtaining a uniform dose for filling containers with metered quantities of powdered materials. The powdered materials are drawn from a rotating container by a plurality of dosing devices which are advanced by a conveyor along a predetermined path, at least a portion of which extends above the movable container. Each of the dosing devices comprises a tubular punch vertically movable relative to the movable container and to the conveyor. A piston reciprocates inside each tubular punch. The punch has an open end facing the movable container to define within the punch a variable volume dosing chamber.

Abstract: A device for checking the filling up of capsules in capsule filling machines comprises, adjacent a station whereat filled and sealed capsules leave the filling machine, one outlet terminal connected to a pressurized air selective distributor and an inlet port of a duct for conveying selected capsules to a checking tool.
