  • Patent number: 11266901
Abstract: A motorized skateboard has a maneuverable rear truck. The riding platform on which the user stands includes a rotatable steering platform that the rider can step on with his rear foot. In the nominal position the steering platform extends slightly above the rest of the riding platform and is locked from rotating. When a user steps on the steering platform, the steering platform gets pushed downward against a spring. The downward movement causes a wedge to force apart two pawl level arms, thus disengaging respective pawls from a ratchet thereby unlocking the steering. In this position the steering platform is rotationally coupled to the rear truck through two spur gears acting in serial such that as the user pivots his foot clockwise, the rear truck turns counterclockwise, and vice versa. The result is a steering motion that is similar to turning a snowboard.

  • Patent number: 11136089
Abstract: An electric transformable scooter that can transform between a stand-on configuration and a ride-on configuration. The scooter has a fixed frame member at the front to which the front wheel and handlebar are mounted, and movable frame member that extends between the rear wheel and the fixed frame member. The front end of the movable frame member slides or otherwise adjusts to either a lower position or an upper position on the fixed frame member. When the movable frame member is at the lower position and locked thereat, it is generally horizontal, and its top surface defines a stand-on floorboard for stand-on operation. When the movable frame member is slid to its upper position and locked thereat, it is inclined from front to rear, and portion rotates away and locks thereat to become a seat for ride-on operation.

  • Patent number: 10751633
Abstract: A toy includes an overall package that holds an A+B molding foam. The overall package includes both a transparent or translucent outer package that contains a first or A part of the molding foam, and an inner transparent or translucent package that contains a second or B part of the molding foam. The A and B parts having contrasting colors. The overall package therefore resembles an egg. The user manually bursts the inner package and mixes the two substances together within the outer package, then pours the resultant molding foam into a mold to create a toy figure. The egg-like package enhances the child's play experience of giving birth to or hatching the toy figure.

  • Publication number: 20200148302
Abstract: A child's riding vehicle can be quickly reconfigured between a balance bike configuration and a pedal-powered bicycle configuration, suitable for children of different ages, without removing any parts to be stored separately. The pedal crank arms can be repositioned on the crank and the pedal axles can be pivoted so that in the balance bike configuration: the pedal crank arms are positioned adjacent to one another and generally upward; the pedal axles are pointed mostly rearwardly but also slightly inwardly rather than extending transversely side-to-side; and the crank arms and pedal axles are telescoped in. The result is that in the balance bike configuration the pedals and crank arms are compacted and folded out of the way so as not to interfere with the child riding the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20190351345
Abstract: A battery powered toy car has a large momentary pushbutton on its top surface that is suitable for a small child to smash down on the pushbutton with his fist thus activating the pushbutton. When the pushbutton is pressed, the car will drive forward for a given amount of time or distance such as 10 feet and then stop until the pushbutton is depressed again. When the pushbutton is depressed again, the car will again drive forward for another 10 feet. A race between two such cars thus involves children running behind or alongside of the cars and smashing down on the cars every 10 feet in order to keep the cars moving forward. In this way a race between the cars actively involves children as running participants in the race and involves eye-hand coordination.

  • Publication number: 20190130606
Abstract: A website builder tool receives an image(s) selected or uploaded by a user, performs color analysis on that image(s) to identify prominent colors and most-occurring colors, and suggests one or more color palettes for use on the website such that text and other visual elements on the website will be aesthetically compatible with the user-provided image(s). Additionally, the server selects images from a database of stock images based on color compatibility with the user-provided image. The process can be performed in the CIELAB color space. Images can also be selected in part based on subject-matter tags. The user thus uploads an image(s) for placement on his website and optionally provides subject-matter descriptive tags, and the website builder tool responds by suggesting additional images and a color palette that will be compatible with the user-provided image, thus making the process of building an attractive and consistently themed website faster and easier.

  • Patent number: 10179673
Abstract: A toy includes a number of play objects that constitute surprises or prizes that are serially revealed to the child as the child removes various layers of wrappings from the toy. Some play objects are located between layers of wrapping. Other play objects are tucked into outer recesses of a spherical shell which is covered by the wrappings, such that removing one of the layers of wrappings reveals one compartment containing one play object at a time. Once all of the wrappings have been removed, the shell comes apart, thus revealing yet another play object. The play object within the shell can be a toy figure such as a doll, with other play objects that were previously revealed being clothing, accessories for the doll, or cards that contain information or other indicia that has a play relationship to the toy figure. The objects that are serially revealed bear a play relationship with one another.

  • Publication number: 20180264370
Abstract: A toy figure such as a doll has at least a portion thereof such as a head covered in a conformal coating that is easily peeled away. The coating has separation lines such as die cuts in it that allow different portions of the coating to be independently peeled away. The different portions of the coating have tabs, or string embedded therein, or other means for grasping those portions respectively. The child peels away one portion of the coating to reveal a first part of the figure, then another portion of the coating to reveal more of the figure, and finally the character is revealed once all of the coating portions have been peeled away. In this way the figure is slowly revealed to the child in an interactive process that involves the child. The slow reveal helps to arouse the child's sense of excitement and anticipation as the child slowly and serially uncovers and thus reveals different parts of the doll.

  • Patent number: 10035076
Abstract: A transformer toy in a first and untransformed configuration receives a toy vehicle therein. The vehicle entering the first toy triggers the toy to transform into a robot, airplane, or other figure or structure capable of movement. As the toy transforms, it picks up the vehicle and positions it within the cockpit or other command center of the transformed toy such that a driver of the vehicle now appears to be commanding the transformed toy.
