Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an apparatus for appraising an article. The apparatus for appraising an article includes: a communication unit receiving a photographed image including a partial image an entire image of the article; and a processing unit analyzing the photographed image, extracting characteristic point information of the photographed image based on a result of the analyzing of the photographed image, comparing the characteristic point information with reference information for the article to determine authenticity and an appearance grade of the article, and calculating an evaluation amount of the article based on the authenticity and the appearance grade of the article.
