Abstract: Apparatus for the correction of the relative position between the maxillary and the mandibular jaws comprises a first guiding element and a second guiding element. The two guiding elements are mounted in a position lateral to the corresponding dental arch by means of anchoring elements. The two guiding elements are initially disengaged from each other and come together to cooperate only from a pre-set intermediary position of closure of the mandibular jaw toward the maxillary jaw. The two guiding elements constructed so that, from the intermediate closure position, they come into reciprocal contact and form contact surfaces with relative sliding movement. Upon closure of the jaws, the cooperating contact between the two guiding elements exerts automatically a push in a direction of the relative displacement of the maxillary jaw and the mandibular jaw for the assuming of the correct relative position between the maxillary jaw and the mandibular jaw.

Abstract: A device especially for osteodistraction, configured for attachment to different bone parts that have been separated, and that are bound together by the device which holds the bones parts in a pre-set position and/or simultaneously exerts pressure for distancing or bringing together the bone parts. The device includes at least two elements configured for fastening to two bone parts that are separate from each other. The two elements are coupled together and movable along at least one pre-set direction, there being inserted between them an elastic element for providing a thrust in the distancing or traction direction. The device may be removably coupled to the bone parts to facilitate installation.

Abstract: A device for the orthodontic and/or orthopedic correction in a dental arch. The device includes at least one thrust or traction element attached to a first set of teeth at one end a second set of teeth at an opposite end. The thrust or traction element includes a pair of telescopically engaged elongated members, a pair of stops, and a spring. At least one of the stops can be adjusted in an axial direction of the elongated members to regulate the amount of compression in the spring. The thrust or traction forces are exerted at a level of the basal gingiva and attached to the teeth of the first and second sets as close to the cervical zone as possible. The device permits expansion and contraction of the dental arch in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the arch, as well as lengthening and shortening of the dental arch in the longitudinal direction.

Abstract: An orthodontic distalizing apparatus, of the type applicable removably to a dental arch, comprises a supporting framework (1) equipped with anatomical means supporting framework equipped with an anatomical support device for supporting the framework on a part of the basal gingiva and underlying bony support of the arch, preferably on the lingual side thereof. The apparatus further comprises a device for anchoring the framework to at least one anchoring tooth and pusher elements that may be spring loaded. The pusher elements are interposed between the framework and a device for fastening to a further tooth of at least one side of the arch. The pusher elements exert a distalizing force in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the arch in the region of the tooth being distalized. The pusher elements are arranged on the lingual side of the dental arch, preferably in a position lowered toward the basal gingiva and underlying bony support of the arch.
