Abstract: A hunting arrow especially adapted to eject a transmitter into a quarry animal to enable location of the quarry after having been shot. The device is particularly useful in the event that the hunting arrow passes completely through the quarry, or if imbedded therein is broken off or pulled out by the quarry. The hunting arrow comprises an apparatus for retaining the transmitter within the arrow, which when moved rearwardly along the shaft of the arrow, permits a spring-loaded transmitter to be ejected into the body cavity of the quarry.
