  • Patent number: 11833709
Abstract: The staves for producing wooden barrels are assembled of individual segments which are fixedly connected to each other at end faces. The individual segments are shorter wood pieces that are assembled such that the stave has the required length. The wooden barrel is produced of such staves which are placed against each other seal-tightly with their narrow sides. The individual segments are machined at their end faces such that individual segments resting against each other after assembly are positioned at an angle relative to each other and form a raw stave that is curved across the length.

  • Patent number: 11345058
Abstract: A machine for conical machining workpieces of wood and plastics has a support supporting the workpieces during feeding in a transport direction through the machine. Rotatably driven tools are provided to machine longitudinal sides of the workpieces extending in the transport direction. At least one of the rotatably driven tools is adjustable transverse to the transport direction. A tongue and groove guide guides the workpieces through the machine in transport direction. In a method for conical machining workpieces, the workpieces prior to or during feeding are measured in regard to the conicity to be machined. A form-fit element is produced on the workpieces and interacts with a counter form-fit element during feeding of the workpieces so as to guide the workpieces in transport direction. At least one of the rotatably driven tools is adjusted transverse to the transport direction during feeding of the workpieces based on the measured conicity.

  • Patent number: 10538011
Abstract: In monitoring the machine space of a processing machine during the throughput of workpieces in order to detect workpieces that got stuck, the rear end of a workpiece with reference to the transport direction generates a start signal in the inlet region of the machine space, as well as an end signal in the outlet region thereof by sensors that are connected to a control unit. Beginning with the start signal, the control unit detects a feature that characterizes a theoretical feed travel and generates a release signal if the value of the detected characteristic feature has reached at the time, at which the end signal is generated, a predefined limiting value and not yet exceeded a predefined upper limiting value or if the end signal is generated at a time, at which the value of the detected characteristic feature has reached the predefined limiting value and not yet exceeded the upper limiting value.

  • Patent number: 10466140
Abstract: A woodworking spindle has a spindle shaft disposed in a spindle housing. One or more rotary bearings support the spindle shaft in the spindle housing. One or more temperature sensors are provided that detect the temperature of the one or more rotary bearings. An evaluation unit is provided and temperature signals generated by the temperature sensors are supplied to the evaluation unit that generates output signals based on evaluation of the temperature signals generated by the temperature sensors. In a method for monitoring the temperature of rotary bearings of a spindle of a woodworking machine, the temperature of the rotary bearings is permanently detected and rotary bearing temperature signals are generated. The rotary bearing temperature signals are sent to an evaluation unit and compared with a first temperature limit value. A first output signal is generated when the temperature signals reach a first temperature limit value.

  • Patent number: 10059022
Abstract: The adjusting device for a pressure roller of a processing machine has a pivotable support arm carrying a pressure roller adjustable with the support arm from a pressure position into a resting position. The support arm is seated on a support rod that engages a clamping aperture of a pressure roller bracket. The support rod has a first section with noncircular cross section that forms a form-fit section cooperating with the clamping aperture of the pressure roller bracket by form-fit. The support rod has a second section arranged axially offset to the first section and forming a rotary section. It rests against the inner side of the clamping aperture and allows rotation of the support rod about its axis in the clamping aperture. The pressure roller can be pivoted easily into a resting position and/or transverse to the workpiece in the width direction with a constructively simple design.

  • Patent number: 9874864
Abstract: In a molder, at least one rotatably driven tool (7, 8, 10, 11) is used to produce the structure (27) or contour on the workpiece (1) by workpiece removal. The workpiece positions along the workpiece (1) for producing the structure or contour are set depending on the data of the workpiece (1) and of the tool (7, 8, 10, 11). The data are transmitted to the machine controller which processes the CNC program based on the data during the passage of the workpiece (1) through the molder and moves the tool (7, 8, 10, 11) into the required positions via CNC drives depending on the workpiece position. The workpiece position is sensed during the passage of the workpiece (1) through the molder. In order to sense the workpiece position in the molder, at least one measuring element (18) is provided upstream and downstream of the tool (1), said measuring element (18) being connected to the machine controller and supplying signals that describe the advancing travel of the workpiece (1) to the machine controller.

  • Patent number: 9573290
Abstract: The transporting roller (1) has teeth (6) arranged in a distributed manner over the circumference. To allow a high advancing force to be achieved with the transporting roller (1) at the same time as an only low pressing force over a long operating time and service life, at least some of the teeth (6) comprise a main tooth (7) and at least one secondary tooth (9), which is arranged at a distance from the main tooth and has a smaller tooth tip radius (r2) than the main tooth (7). With the secondary teeth (9), there is an additional transfer of force exerted on the workpiece (2). The secondary teeth (9) limit the depth of penetration of the main teeth (7). When there is a high pressing pressure, the secondary teeth (9) penetrate partially into the work-piece (2). The main and secondary teeth (7, 9) penetrate only slightly into the workpiece (2), and so only a small amount of material has to be removed to eliminate any markings.
