Abstract: A quick release assembly for a side roll tarp has a roll-tube coupler connected to a roll-tube for rolling and unrolling the side roll tarp. A drive coupler is connected to a shaft of a motor, the drive coupler fitting within an opening in the roll-tube coupler. The drive coupler has a first groove and second groove circumferentially around an exterior of a circular shaft below a head portion of the driver coupler. A quick release pin traverses through a pair of tangential openings in the body of the roll-tube coupler to engage the first or second grooves of the drive coupler, wherein the driver coupler is engaged with the roll-tube coupler when in the first groove allowing the motor to drive the roll-tube and disengaged from the roll-tube coupler when in the second groove allowing the roll-tube to be rotated independently of the motor.

Abstract: A chute opener for opening a chute of a grain trailer is provided. The chute opener uses a motor coupled to a motor gear to drive a shaft gear. The shaft gear drives a crank shaft coupled to the chute of the grain trailer. The gears can be disengaged to enable manual operation of the chute by a hand crank. A position sensor can be provided which determines a position of the shaft gear even when disengaged from the drive gear to maintain accurate chute positioning information.

Abstract: A cover assembly adapted to be fitted over the open top of a bin includes a pair of spaced apart, domed rigid hoods releasably attachable to upper portions of the hopper whereby an elongated opening is defined between the hoods of sufficient width as to provide access to the hopper. A flexible closure member spans the opening between the hoods while supported on trackways extending along marginal edge portions of the hoods which bound the elongated opening. A pair of rotatable rollers are attachable, one at each of the opposing end portions of the opening. One roller is spring-loaded, upon and from which roller the closure member is wound and unwound during travel of said closure member over the elongated opening. The other roller is connected by pull cables to the closure member, and powered to provide for travel of the closure member.

Abstract: Apparatus for retaining a side edge of a tarpaulin along a side portion of an open-topped box such as a truck box, wherein the tarpaulin includes a rigid rod connected along its side edge. The apparatus includes a bracket for attachment to the side of the box. A clamp arm is pivotally mounted to the bracket for movement about a pivot axis between a closed clamping position for securing the rod and tarpaulin side edge in fixed relation to the clamp arm and side portion of the box and an open position for releasing the rod and tarpaulin side edge. A clamp arm latch is pivotally mounted so that it can be manually shifted between a latched position wherein the clamp arm is secured in the closed position and an unlatched position wherein the clamp arm is free to pivot to the open position.
