Patent number: 6866348Abstract: A hydraulic braking system having an electronically controlled full power brake valve is disclosed. The hydraulic braking system supplies a braking output for a vehicle having at least one brake. The hydraulic braking system includes a primary valve assembly that is configured to receive a manually controlled input that varies the braking output of the braking system. The primary valve assembly includes a first spool valve configured to vary the braking output according to the manually controlled input. The hydraulic braking system also includes a secondary valve assembly integral with the primary valve assembly. The secondary valve assembly is configured to receive input signals from a programmable electronic controller and includes a second spool valve configured to operate with the primary valve assembly.Type: GrantFiled: April 5, 2001Date of Patent: March 15, 2005Assignee: Mico, Inc.Inventor: David E. Patent number: 6802330Abstract: An auto-relieving pressure modulating valve includes a spool, a solenoid that shifts the spool in an energized direction, and a spring arrangement. The spring arrangement functions to shift the spool from a relieving position to a neutral position, in the energized direction, without energizing the solenoid.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 2003Date of Patent: October 12, 2004Assignee: Mico, Inc.Inventor: Stephen Dale Royle

Patent number: 6217128Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a valve arrangement for use with a steering assist system having left and right brake actuating members. The valve arrangement includes a valve body defining a left brake port adapted for connection to a left hydraulic brake and a right brake port adapted for connection to a right hydraulic brake. The valve arrangement also includes a left valve member for controlling hydraulic fluid flow through the left brake port, and a right brake valve member for controlling hydraulic fluid flow through the right brake port. The left brake valve member is adapted to be actuated by the left brake actuating member, and the right brake valve member is adapted to be actuated by the right brake actuating member. The valve arrangement also includes structure for providing equal hydraulic braking pressures to the left and right brakes through the left and right brake ports when the left and right brake actuating members have been actuated on equal amounts.Type: GrantFiled: February 12, 1999Date of Patent: April 17, 2001Assignee: Mico, Inc.Inventor: Vincent J. Patent number: 5630487Abstract: An automatic vehicle brake locking system, including an actuator (16) which segregates an auxiliary hydraulic fluid pump (42) from the normally used vehicle master cylinder (2). The actuator (16) is formed as a cylinder including a piston (36) which is biased to permit passage of hydraulic fluid which is pressurized by the vehicle master cylinder (2) through the actuator (16).Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 1995Date of Patent: May 20, 1997Assignee: Mico, Inc.Inventors: Seth W. Hamman, Terry M. Bangert
