  • Patent number: 5777523
Abstract: A power-saving IC-type oscillation circuit is disclosed. It contains (a) a quartz oscillator circuit which contains an inverter and a feedback circuit: and (b) an output modulation circuit connected to an output terminal of the quartz oscillator circuit. The output modulation circuit is structured such that, after a sinusoidal wave is received from the output terminal, it will judge the level of the sinusoidal wave in a manner that when the level is high, a high state signal will be sent out to a CMOS transistor, and, when the level is low, a low state signal will be sent out. The output modulation circuit allows the CMOS transistor, which is to be driven by the oscillation circuit, to quickly move out of the power-consuming condition to thus reduce electrical current consumption.

  • Patent number: 5590161
Abstract: A transmitter for transmitting a low probability of detection rf signal, in which digitized audio data is contained therein. Each data frame contains deliberately introduced errors to synchronize a signal containing noise-like data due to skewing of an encoding frame and a data frame upon reception by a receiver.Analog data is converted to digital form by an A/D converter, and then applied to a forward error correction device (FEC encoder) to properly encode the data. One block of input digital data associated with the A/D converter, and one block of input data for creating a codeword associated with FEC encoder are synchronized by a synchronization block, which determines a superframe that constitutes a common multiple of FEC encoder blocks and A/D converter blocks. The superframe is determined by a pulse output from the synchronization block, and that pulse is used to deliberately create one or more errors in the digital data output from the FEC encoder.

  • Patent number: 4850108
Abstract: A device for stripping an outer protective material from a transmission-carrier, the device including hand-held grip members that are pivotally mounted at one end thereof, the other ends of the grip members being movable relative to each other to and from a closed stripping position, a guide member being located at the pivot end of the grip members and receiving therein the lead-in portion of the transmission carrier from which the protective material is to be stripped. Blade members are located adjacent to the guide member and are engageable by the grip members for movement by the grip members into engaging relation with the protective material during a stripping operation, wherein the blade members penetrate into the protective material.

  • Patent number: 4271729
Abstract: A device for stripping insulation from the end of electrical wiring is disclosed and includes hand-held, elongated strip members that are pivotally movable to and from a wire stripping position, a tubular member extending between the grip members and guiding the wire to be stripped therethrough toward opposed blade members. The opposed blade members are removably secured in a block in which the grip members are also pivotally mounted, the blade members engaging the grip members so that upon pivotal movement of the grip members the blade members are moved in a corresponding lateral motion to sever the insulation of the wire that has been inserted into the tubular member and between the blade members. An adjustable stop and spring member engages the grip members for normally urging the grip members to an open position and further providing a stop for selective location of the wire to be stripped, thereby precisely determining the length of insulation to be stripped from the wire.
