Patent number: 8431083Abstract: The invention is an apparatus and method to remove hydrogen sulfide and siloxanes from biogas and destroy the contaminants in microwave reactors. Hydrogen sulfide and siloxane are removed from biogas using an adsorbent media such as activated carbon. The media is regenerated in a microwave reactor where the hydrogen sulfide and siloxane are removed in a sweep gas. In one process, siloxane is oxidized to silicon dioxide in a second microwave reactor and removed with a filter. Hydrogen sulfide if first oxidized to sulfur dioxide, then reduced to sulfur in a third microwave reactor and removed with a filter. In another process, siloxane is combined with water to form silicon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide is reduced to elemental sulfur in a microwave reactor. These reactants are removed with a filter. The remaining sweep gas containing hydrogen and low molecular weight hydrocarbons is returned to the biogas stream.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 2012Date of Patent: April 30, 2013Assignees: Cha Corporation, C-Micro Systems, Inc.Inventor: Chang Yul Cha

Patent number: 6772327Abstract: An FPU pipeline is synchronized with a CPU pipeline. Synchronization is achieved by having stalls and freezes in any one pipeline cause stalls and freezes in the other pipeline as well. Exceptions are kept precise even for long floating point operations. Precise exceptions are achieved by having a first execution stage of the FPU pipeline generate a busy signal, when a first floating point instruction enters a first execution stage of the FPU pipeline. When a second floating point instruction is decoded by the FPU pipeline before the first floating point instruction has finished executing in the first stage of the FPU pipeline, then both pipelines are stalled.Type: GrantFiled: May 9, 2002Date of Patent: August 3, 2004Assignee: Hitachi Micro Systems, Inc.Inventors: Prasenjit Biswas, Gautam Dewan, Kevin Iadonato, Norio Nakagawa, Kunio Uchiyama

Patent number: 6295601Abstract: A new “partial trap barrier” instruction can be inserted in an instruction stream to cut off trap shadows of instructions of a respective one of a plurality of particular classes associated with each instruction. Several criteria may be used to assign instructions to trap barrier classes, including (i) explicit encoding of a trap barrier value which is contained in the respective instructions; (ii) resource(s) of the processor which is or are used in their execution, and (iii) where the instructions are located in the instruction stream in relation to the partial trap barrier instructions in the instruction stream. When the processor executes a partial trap barrier instruction in a particular class, while an earlier instruction in the same class is casting its trap shadow, the processor will stall the pipeline in connection with an instruction of the same class after the partial trap barrier instruction in the pipeline, as well as instructions in the instruction stream subsequent thereto.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 1997Date of Patent: September 25, 2001Assignee: Sun Micro Systems, Inc.Inventor: Guy L. Patent number: 6295327Abstract: A phase-locked loop with training capability that reduces the time for clock recovery of a clock signal at a known frequency embedded in a data signal. Prior to the data signal being available, the phase-locked loop, in a training mode, acquires frequency and phase lock with a local oscillator signal. As a result, the output of the PLL is frequency locked substantially at the frequency of the clock embedded in the expected data signal. To achieve this result, in the training mode, the PLL compares the local oscillator signal divided by a first divider with the output clock signal divided by a second divider. Then the frequency of the output clock signal of the PLL equals the frequency of the local oscillator multiplied by the ratio of the divisor of the second divider over the divisor of the first divider. When the data signal is available, the PLL operates in a data receiving mode.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 1999Date of Patent: September 25, 2001Assignee: Hitachi Micro Systems, Inc.Inventor: Ashraf K.
