Abstract: A binding device that prevents damage to binding tape including a biodegradable material as a base material comprises a pressing surface formed on a resin attachment which is detachably mounted on a head of a tape holding plate, and therefore it is possible to mount an attachment of a shape and material suitable for binding tape to be used. Furthermore, because the tape receiving plate is formed by a rubber plate, the tape receiving plate is able to absorb a shock generated by the pointed end of the tape holding plate entering the tape receiving plate. With this arrangement, it possible to prevent damage to fragile binding tape including a biodegradable material as a base material.
