Patents Assigned to Micropower Technologies, Inc.
  • Patent number: 9282297
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and techniques for video delivery can include one or more of the following: a wireless camera arranged in a wearable form factor comprising a battery to provide energy, and configured to generate a video feed, and a base station in wireless communication with the wireless camera and configured to receive the video feed from the wireless camera and process the video feed, and a video portal device communicatively coupled with the base station and configured to receive the processed video feed from the base station and deliver at least a portion of the processed video feed to one or more remote clients. A base station can reserve a wireless channel for the wireless camera for a video transmission.

  • Patent number: 8863208
Abstract: A method, system, and computer-readable medium for synchronizing video are described. The system captures video data with a camera, the video data including a first video data segment and a second video data segment. When a network between the camera and a hub is insufficient to allow downstream real-time streaming of the video data, the system stores the first video data segment on a first storage. When the network is sufficient to allow downstream real-time streaming of the video data, the system transfers the second video data segment from the camera to the hub, reads the first video data segment from the first storage, and transfers the first video data segment to the hub. The system stores the video data segments onto a second storage such that a non-real-time playback from the second storage shows the first video data segment and the second video data segment in sequence.

  • Publication number: 20130286280
Abstract: A wireless camera system is described. A housing enclosure contains the wireless camera, and the wireless camera collects video data. The housing enclosure also contains a first circuit board and a rechargeable battery. A first solar cell assembly is coupled to the housing enclosure. The first circuit board is in wireless communication with a base station, and the base station is configured to receive the video data. The camera operates a continuous feed of the video data. The video data is at least partially processed in a location away from the housing enclosure and made available to a remote client for viewing.

  • Publication number: 20130147962
Abstract: Disclosed is a communication system including a first set of wireless cameras, a first hub and a first relay device receiving first video data. Also included is a second set of wireless cameras, a second hub and a second relay device which receives (i) the first video data and (ii) a second video data. Included is a third set of wireless cameras, a third hub and a third relay device receiving (i) the first and second video data and (ii) a third video data. A monitoring device monitors the first, second and third relay devices. A video management system receives the first, second and third video data from the third relay device. If the second relay device is unable to transmit the video data at a minimum quality level, the monitoring device sends a signal directing the first relay device to send first video data via the third relay device.

  • Publication number: 20130147973
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a wireless camera data management method in which a hub is used to monitor data on a wireless channel between the hub and a first camera. The first camera is located physically away from the hub. The hub is used to monitor data on the wireless channel between the hub and a second camera. The second camera is located physically away from the hub. When the wireless channel exhibits excessive data traffic, camera data transmitted from the first or second camera is reduced by at least one of the following: (i) reducing a frame rate of the camera data, (ii) reducing the resolution of the camera data, (iii) reducing the bit rate of the camera data by increased compression, (iv) using frame modulation on the camera data, or (v) prioritizing data transmitted by the first camera or the second camera based on a first user input.
