Abstract: A method and system for communicating; comprising: at least one master device comprising at least one master driver with at least one intelligent vending controller application; at least one slave device comprising at least one slave driver; and at least one controller area network (CAN) bus facilitating communication between the at least one master device and the at least one slave device; the master device facilitating communication between at least one host application and the at least one master device and the at least one slave device such that the slave device does not require the at least one intelligent vending controller application in order to communicate with the host application; wherein the at least one master device and the at least one slave device are vendor devices.
