Abstract: A directory assistance system includes a directory database and a search engine. The search engine is configured to search the directory database for a first set of residential listings based on at least one first search term. A second search term is received that is related to a cohabitant of the listing to be found. At least one search result is selected that satisfies the second search term.
Abstract: An apparatus is described comprising: a data processing device comprising a base with a plurality of input elements configured thereon, and an adjustable display having a display screen for displaying text and graphics, the display cooperatively engaged with the base to move from between a first position, in which none, or only a subset of the input elements are accessible, to a second position, in which all of the input elements are accessible; and a first support arm having a first end and a second end, the first support arm pivotally coupled to the base at the first end at a pivot point, and engaged with a first track on the display at the second end, wherein during movement of the display from the first position to the second position, the first support arm pivots around the pivot point at the first end and runs along the first track at the second end, thereby guiding and supporting the display during the movement.

Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, a decoder receives a dependency tree as a source language input and accesses a set of statistical models that produce outputs combined in a log linear framework. The decoder also accesses a table of treelet translation pairs and returns a target dependency tree based on the source dependency tree, based on access to the table of treelet translation pairs, and based on the application of the statistical models.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described that assist media players in rendering visualizations and synchronizing those visualizations with audio samples. In one embodiment, visualizations are synchronized with an audio stream using a technique that builds and maintains various data structures. Each data structure can maintain data that is associated with a particular pre-processed audio sample. The maintained data can include a timestamp that is associated with a time when the audio sample is to be rendered. The maintained data can also include various characteristic data that is associated with the audio stream. When a particular audio sample is being rendered, its timestamp is used to locate a data structure having characteristic data. The characteristic data is then used in a visualization rendering process to render a visualization.
