  • Patent number: 9866208
Abstract: Described herein are methods and subsystems for use with a timing generator having an output driver at which a timing signal having timing pulses is output. A method includes controlling the timing generator to cause the output driver to output a timing signal having an expected duty cycle, and filtering the timing signal to produce a DC voltage having a magnitude indicative of an actual duty cycle of the timing signal. The method also includes converting the DC voltage to a digital value indicative of the actual duty cycle of the timing signal. The method can also include comparing the digital value to an expected value corresponding to the expected duty cycle, and using results of the comparing to determine an error associated with the timing generator and/or produce a calibration table that can be used to calibrate the timing generator and/or calibrate a measurement made using the timing generator.

  • Patent number: 9444779
Abstract: A request to resolve an IP address is received by a Domain Name Server (DNS). A record, such as an MX record, relating to the request is obtained that comprises a unique label (e.g. record=customer-com.mail.messaging.com) that is used in determining how to resolve the request. The unique label portion of the record (e.g. customer-com) is used to identify information relating to the request such as a version of software/service to use to handle the request, a region used to handle the request, and the like. The same record may be used to direct a request to a different version and/or different region. For example, without changing the record, a request at one time may access a first version/region and a request at a different time access a different version/region.

  • Patent number: 9165313
Abstract: Mobile communication devices, such as mobile phones, may be capable of recommending to a user various providers of one or more solicited services, e.g., by identifying a user location and identifying providers near the user location that provide the services, and by initiating a call between the user and a selected provider. However, the equipment and service costs of such devices may be prohibitive, particularly for mid-range mobile communication devices that may appeal to cost-conscious users. The prohibitive costs may be diminished by redirecting part or all of the cost of providing the recommendation service from the providers, e.g., by charging the provider a service cost upon initiating a call from the user to the provider, or upon representing the provider in a provider database. In one such embodiment, all service costs may be borne by providers, providing to the user a free recommendation service via the mobile communication device.

  • Publication number: 20150212924
Abstract: The analysis of an intermediate representation of source or program code. An initial version of an initial representation of the source or program code is accessed and statically analyzed. For one or more portions of this initial version, the analysis component queries an analysis-time resolution component that provides supplemental intermediate representations corresponding to the portion. This supplemental intermediate representation provides further clarity regarding the portion, and is analyzed. If defects are found, they may be reported.
