Patent number: 11049076Abstract: In non-limiting examples of the present disclosure, systems, methods and devices for routing meeting requests by a digital assistant service are presented. A request to schedule a meeting between an invitee and a principal may be received by a digital assistant service, wherein the request is sent by an agent of the principal. The digital assistant service may determine that the agent is a delegate of the principal with scheduling authority. The digital assistant service may further determine that follow-up information for the meeting is required, and the digital assistant service may route an electronic message requesting the follow-up information directly the agent-delegate. Other aspects describe mechanisms for routing meeting requests from third parties directly to delegates, rather than sending those communications directly to principals.Type: GrantFiled: May 7, 2018Date of Patent: June 29, 2021Assignee: Microsoft Techology Licensing, LLCInventors: Juliana Pena Ocampo, Mayerber Loureiro De Carvalho Neto, Charles Yin-Che Lee, Ben Cheung, Pamela Bhattacharya, Chala Fekadu Fufa, Warren David Johnson, III

Patent number: 10804352Abstract: A display includes a display substrate having a patterned edge, the patterned edge including a plurality of notches. The display further includes a plurality of display signal lines supported by the display substrate on a first side of the display substrate, and a display control circuit disposed along a second side of the display substrate, the second side being opposite the first side. The display control circuit includes a plurality of contacts. Each display signal line of the plurality of display signal lines is disposed in a respective notch of the plurality of notches to traverse the patterned edge to establish an electrical connection between each display signal line of the plurality of display signal lines and a respective contact of the plurality of contacts.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 2019Date of Patent: October 13, 2020Assignee: Microsoft Techology Licensing, LLCInventors: Minhyuk Choi, Rajesh Dighde

Patent number: 10613228Abstract: The technology described herein is a depth camera that uses structured light and modulated light to produce a depth image. The modulated and structured light allows a time-of-flight depth to be calculated for each unit (e.g., a single dot) of the reflected structured light image captured by the depth camera's image sensor. The time-of-flight depth can be used to accurately identify each unit of the reflected structured light image. Once each unit of the reflected structured light image is identified, a structured light triangulation algorithm can be used to calculate a depth for each unit of the reflected structured light image. The present technology also allows a confidence score to be generated for the assigned depths within the depth image by comparing the structured light depth for each unit to the TOF depth for each unit.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 2017Date of Patent: April 7, 2020Assignee: Microsoft Techology Licensing, LLCInventors: Michael S. Patent number: 9317314Abstract: Techniques for providing the ability to live migrate a virtual machine from one physical host to another physical host employ shared storage as the transfer medium for the state of the virtual machine. In addition, the ability for a virtualization module to use second-level paging functionality is employed, paging-out the virtual machine memory content from one physical host to the shared storage. The content of the memory file can be restored on another physical host by employing on-demand paging and optionally low-priority background paging from the shared storage to the other physical host.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2010Date of Patent: April 19, 2016Assignee: Microsoft Techology Licensing, LLCInventor: Lars Reuther

Patent number: 9262057Abstract: Embodiments extend functionality of a first application with actions from one or more second applications specifically applicable to a content item selected by a user. The selected content item belongs to a category. A description of the selected content item distinguishes the selected content item from other content items in the same category. At least one of a plurality of second applications is selected based on a comparison between the description and application data associated with the second applications. The computing device identifies, to the user, the actions from the second applications applicable to the selected content item. Upon selection of an action, the computing device executes the corresponding second application and provides output data within the context of the first application, or otherwise integrated with the first application experience.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2011Date of Patent: February 16, 2016Assignee: Microsoft Techology Licensing, LLCInventors: Jared Adam Brown, Sunil Sudhakar Pandith, Yanshu Fan, Kerri Irene Higgins Sheldon, Gavin Dean Lazarow, Lejie Xu
