  • Publication number: 20220054150
Abstract: A distal aspiration catheter comprises catheter body having a central lumen and at least one luminal channel. An aspiration source is configured to attach to a proximal end/luer hub of the central lumen. Each luminal channel includes one mandrel and a distal portion of the mandrel extends into a distal portion in the central lumen. When the aspiration source is activated, a clot/emboli lodged in a blood vessel is partially ingested into the distal portion of the central lumen. The distal portion of the mandrel can move into the partially ingested clot to induce clot fatigue. The fatigued clot can be removed completely by a single pass of the distal aspiration catheter.

  • Publication number: 20220039804
Abstract: A flow-diverting implant includes a saddle-shaped braided mesh diverter that is sized to provide adequate blocking coverage of a neck of an aneurysm. The diverter is anchored using minimally profiled, generally circular anchors that present little to no resistance to blood flow and are unlikely to create thrombosis. A locator extends into the aneurysm to ensure the diverter is optimally positioned over the neck of the aneurysm.

  • Publication number: 20210322025
Abstract: Blood vessel occlusion devices, systems and methods, in particular embodiments of devices for aortic occlusion. The device includes one or more locator portions and an occluder portion. The device is delivered via transcatheter delivery. The locator portion may be radially expanded using a handle and actuator at the proximal end of the delivery catheter. Tactile feedback from the locator portion is used to determine proper location of the occluder portion, for example within the abdominal aorta. The occluder is then radially expanded to occlude the vessel.

  • Publication number: 20210282788
Abstract: An implantable embolic device having a stretch-resistant member passing therethrough that also serves as a tether for connecting the device to a delivery system. The stretch-resistant member is attached at a proximal and distal end of the device and extends proximally to the delivery device. The proximal attachment point serves to isolate a distal, stretch resisting segment of the member from axial tension placed on a proximal, connecting section of the member. Thus, the portion of the stretch-resistant member being used to connect the embolic device to a delivery device may be placed under tension without placing tension or distorting the implant.
