Patent number: 12156967Abstract: Traditionally, vital signs monitors in the veterinary setting have been designed for use with human subjects that have simply been repurposed for use in the veterinary space. While some changes may be made to the human monitor to make it more amenable for veterinary use (e.g., changing the monitor display options from “adult” and “pediatric” to “large animal” and “small animal”), these changes are generally only done on a superficial level and thus omit significant veterinary-specific functionality that might otherwise be obtained. Further, vital signs monitors do not include a pre-procedure checklist or any functionality to increase safety awareness and allow clinics to ensure compliance with certain pre-procedure protocols. Accordingly, it is a purpose of the present invention to provide a veterinary-specific vitals signs monitor that overcomes these traditional limitations and increases the ease and efficiency with which veterinary care can be delivered.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 2021Date of Patent: December 3, 2024Assignee: Midmark CorporationInventors: Chris King, Andrew W. Patent number: 12080423Abstract: Various systems and methods for collecting patient data are discussed herein. According to some systems and methods, a timer may be started, and a blood pressure data collection system is actuated to obtain a blood pressure measurement of a patient upon the expiration of the timer. The timer may be incorporated into a patient data collection system or method to ensure the patient is relaxed and calm prior to taking a blood pressure measurement. An event may be sensed by an environmental sensor system and the timer may be started in response to sensing the event. A clinician leaving a room where the patient is disposed is one example of an event. An interruption may be sensed by the environmental sensor system and the timer may be terminated in response to sensing the interruption. The clinician entering the room where the patient is disposed in one example of an interruption.Type: GrantFiled: September 6, 2023Date of Patent: September 3, 2024Assignee: Midmark CorporationInventors: Bradley J. Patent number: 12048374Abstract: A mobile workstation with adjustable height of the present disclosure may comprise a top assembly, an adjustment assembly, and a bottom assembly. Adjustment assembly may comprise telescopically engaged segments. One or more pulleys or pulley assemblies may be disposed within one or more of the segments to allow for withdrawing and retracting segments from one another at the same rate. Actuation of the raising or lowering of the overall height of the mobile workstation may be realized through either a manual actuation or an electronic element such as a linear actuator.Type: GrantFiled: December 8, 2022Date of Patent: July 30, 2024Assignee: Midmark CorporationInventors: Daniel A. Albers, Connor James Osowski, Jeffrey T. DeBord, Rainer Bernhard Teufel, Todd Linthicum, Jay F. Perkins, David Simpson, Nicholas Leonard Blackburn, Jon Robert Neil Hamilton, Michael C. Patent number: 11331237Abstract: A medical examination table includes a base assembly, a table assembly, a table actuation assembly, a wheel assembly, and an actuating mobility assembly. The base assembly configured to support the medical examination table in a first mobility configuration. The table actuation assembly is configured to raise and lower the table assembly relative to the base member to thereby transition the table assembly between a lowered position and a raised position. The wheel assembly is configured to support the medical examination table in a second mobility configuration. The actuating mobility assembly is configured to cooperate with the table actuation assembly to thereby actuate the wheel assembly relative to the base assembly to thereby transition the medical examination table between the first mobility configuration to the second mobility configuration.Type: GrantFiled: April 15, 2020Date of Patent: May 17, 2022Assignee: Midmark CorporationInventor: Arthur D. Patent number: 11253414Abstract: An armrest assembly is disclosed herein. The armrest assembly includes a main body with a proximal adjustment assembly disposed at a first end and a distal adjustment assembly disposed at a second end. The proximal adjustment assembly provides for adjustment of the main body about a first axis. The distal adjustment assembly provides for adjustment of an arm pad about a second axis as well as a third axis. To prevent damage, a breakaway assembly is provided by the distal adjustment assembly to unlock the arm pad from a raised position and lower it into a lower position in the event a weight applied to the arm pad is beyond a particular weight threshold.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 2019Date of Patent: February 22, 2022Assignee: Midmark CorporationInventors: Jeffrey T.
