Patents Assigned to Midwest Concrete & Masonry Supply, Inc.
  • Patent number: 10837185
Abstract: A lifting anchor assembly that is configured to be embedded in a tilt-up concrete structure includes an anchor member that has a central portion configured to engage a lift apparatus and a pair of legs that extend downward from the central portion. A lower portion of each of the pair of legs includes a curved section configured to engage within a concrete structure during its forming process. A spacer may be selected to attach at an end portion of each the pair of legs, where the spacers each extend downward from the anchor member and rest on a floor surface of a concrete form to support the anchor member at a desired spacing from the floor and upright within the concrete structure that is cast in the concrete form.

  • Patent number: 10662642
Abstract: A floor dowel sleeve has a body portion with a top wall, a bottom wall, two side walls, and an end wall that together to surround an interior cavity. The interior cavity is configured to receive a dowel plate at an opening in the body portion opposite the end wall. Spacing elements are disposed at each of the two side walls and are configured to interface with opposing edges of the dowel plate to provide a space between the dowel plate and interior surfaces of the two side walls. The spacing elements each have a pair of legs that integrally protrude from the side wall into the interior cavity and interconnect to form a spacing chamber. The spacing elements are each configured to flex into the spacing chamber upon lateral horizontal movement of the dowel plate within the interior cavity.

  • Patent number: 10428518
Abstract: A floor dowel sleeve is provided that includes a rectangular-shaped body portion having a cavity that is configured to receive a dowel plate that spans across a seam between concrete slabs. A pair of break-away interior walls extend within the cavity from the opening to the end wall of the sleeve. The interior walls extend between two opposing (horizontal) walls of the exterior side walls and are continuously spaced from the other two opposing (vertical) walls of the exterior side walls. The body portion is configured to receive the dowel plate in the cavity between the break-away interior walls, where the break-away interior walls are configured to at least partially break-away from the exterior side walls upon lateral horizontal movement of the dowel plate within the cavity.

  • Patent number: 10066406
Abstract: A reinforced anchor assembly for lifting a tilt-up and precast insulated concrete panel provides an erection anchor that is configured to be precast in an edge portion of an insulated concrete panel and span between outer concrete layers of the insulated concrete panel. The erection anchor includes a central portion with a lifting hole configured to be positioned between the outer concrete layers for engage a lifting device. The erection anchor also includes lateral portions on opposing sides of the central portion that each include reinforcement apertures. A plurality of reinforcement bars are each configured to be precast in one of the outer layers of concrete and engage one of the reinforcement apertures in the erection anchor, such that the plurality of reinforcement bars support the insulated concrete panel under shear and tension loading forces.

  • Patent number: 10060145
Abstract: A lifting anchor assembly that is configured to be embedded in a tilt-up concrete structure includes an anchor member that has a pair of legs extending downward from a central portion of the anchor member to form a generally inverted U shape. A spacer is disposed at a lower end portion of each of the pair of legs, where the spacers each include a plurality of spacing arms that extend radially at different lengths from an engagement portion of the spacer that adjustably attaches at the anchor member. The engagement portion of the spacer is configured to engage the anchor member in different rotational positions to selectively position one of the plurality of spacing arms in a downward position for accommodating different thickness dimensions of concrete structures.
