Abstract: An electrical connection covering apparatus is designed to protect from moisture a connection between a plug of one extension cord and a socket of another extension cord. A compressible and elastic diaphragm is used to form a seal around the cables of the extension cords where they enter the apparatus. The apparatus includes a housing that has at least one aperture. The diaphragm extends across the aperture. The diaphragm projects inwardly with respect to an interior surface of the housing. The compressibility and elasticity of the diaphragm material is greater than that of the housing material.

Abstract: An apparatus is designed to protect a connection between a plug of a first electrical cord and a socket of a second electrical cord from moisture. The apparatus consists of a first housing portion and a second housing portion that, when mated, form an interior region, a first aperture configured to receive the first electrical cord, and a second aperture configured to receive the second electrical cord. Four cross-wise portions are located in the interior region. The first and second cross-wise portions are attached to the first housing portion and are positioned proximate the first and second apertures, respectively. The third and fourth cross-wise portions are attached to the second housing portion and are positioned proximate the first and second apertures, respectively. When the housing portions are mated, the first cross-wise portion abuts the third cross-wise portion and the second cross-wise portion abuts the fourth cross-wise portion.

Abstract: An electrical cord covering system includes a first housing portion and a second housing portion. The housing portions each include compression portions around their respective rims. The compression portions each have two recessed areas. When the housing portions are in a closed position a hollow region is formed to cover mated electrical cord plugs. A rim seal is formed with the compression portions. Two apertures are formed in the rim seal from the recessed apertures. The cable apertures form seals against electrical cords running to the electrical cord plugs.
