Patents Assigned to Midwest Tropical
  • Publication number: 20020073585
Abstract: A rising bubble display. A pump is fluidly connected to a liquid-filled reservoir and an audio signal input is provided. A controller is coupled to the audio signal input and coupled to the pump. Upon reception of an audio signal, the controller generates a signal capable of actuating the pump.

  • Patent number: 5738018
Abstract: A table includes a table top that is supported by a set of legs. Each of these legs includes a translucent column adapted to contain a liquid and a bubble source mounted in the column to introduce bubbles in the liquid. A pump is coupled to the bubble sources to supply a pressurized fluid such as air to the bubble sources. The fluid forms bubbles which rise through the liquid and are visible from outside the columns. Preferably, all of the legs of the table include a respective column and bubble source, and the bubbles in the columns are illuminated by light from one or more light sources contained in the base adjacent the lower portion of the legs. Colored filters may be interposed between the light and source and the columns.

  • Patent number: 5349771
Abstract: A rising bubble display device includes a reservoir with a lamp positioned beneath the reservoir. An air pump is mounted adjacent the lamp to pump air via orifices located at the base of the reservoir. A translucent colored element is interposed between the lamp and the reservoir, and this colored element is releasably retained in place such that the user can readily substitute one colored element for another to change the color of the illuminating light. An orifice defining tube is mounted to the reservoir by a sleeve and a threaded cap to provide the necessary seal while allowing ready removal of the orifice defining tube. The reservoir is secured to the base in channels, and the tube is connected to the air pump with a check valve. In this way, the reservoir can readily be isolated from the pump and removed from the base for service.
