    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and a system for managing the identification of devices (DID). A network device may provide the network device information to a server through a network. The server may generate a DID corresponding to the network device, and record the DID and the network device information into a device database. In addition, the network device and the server may share a shared key, which may be used to encrypt the DID and the network device information before the data transmission for enhancing security of the method. Moreover, the server may generate and record an exclusive key (Device Key) for data encryption before the data transmission with the network device, and transmit the Device Key to the network device. Therefore, the Device Key management may be accomplished simultaneously with the DID management to enhance data transmission security between the network device and the server.

    Abstract: In one aspect of the invention, a method for verifying locations of devices is provided. The method is implemented in a system having at least a client device, a network device and a server (collectively the “endpoints”.) At least a first token, a device listing information and an authorization parameter are transmitted in the system via a browser or any web application, to enable endpoints to verify that the client device has logged in to the server and the client device and the network device are in a same network. In another embodiment, a method for verifying locations of devices implemented on a server is provided. In yet another embodiment, a method for verifying locations of devices implemented on a network device is provided.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a user interface, a method, a system and an electronic device for providing channel indexed contents as an over-the-top (OTT) service. The user interface, the method and the system may be implemented on electronic devices to provide a “channel mode” other than the default operation modes of the electronic devices. In channel mode, content are selected by inputting a channel index value using a remote controller or a smart phone, and the electronic device then retrieves the content according to the content address corresponding to the channel index value. More specifically, the electronic device switches from its default operation mode to the channel mode when the electronic device is connected to an external display, such as a television. Therefore, the electronic device may provide a large-screen experience for OTT services with a large-screen device as an external display.

    Abstract: The invention provides a method and a device for creating direct index for contents, such as webpage, local file or application, or TV channel. Through displaying first interface component comprising information of contents and a selecting component on a screen, a user may select a content to create a direct index for and input an index through a second interface on the screen comprising information of selected content and an index-input component. As a result, a customized direct index for the selected content may be created through two simple steps, by the corresponding content will be accessed by inputting the direct index. The invention reduces the steps for accessing contents and expands the flexibility of creating index of content by providing the possibility of creating direct index for contents with different types and from different sources.

    Abstract: The invention provides a method and system for processing, through a computer network, data in a storage or received from an input device. The user may send a data processing request from a client device to a server in a wide area network, and receive a first webpage having a data requesting module and data processing module. Through the data requesting module, the client device may send a data request to a network device having a storage or to a networked input device in a local area network. Moreover, once the client device receives the data, the client device may generate a second webpage having the data and the data processing module. Therefore, by adding the data processing module to the server, the user may request these processing modules and use the corresponding data processing function without manually updating the software or the firmware in the storage or client device.
