Abstract: Improvements to the construction of metal brackets with screw for the clamping or tightening thereof, the vertices of the extremities of the two arms of the front cross-bar at the body-tunnel entrance are enlarged, and a space is provided for the housing thereof into the screw body, with concentric bearing flange and double clamping tailpiece of the two ends of the metal strip coiled from the tunnel base being substituted by a transverse monotailpiece which is rabated to the opposite side, with a threaded tongue for clasping purposes, and one of the extremities of the strip having two juxtaposed drawn pieces, one in the upper surface and the other one in the lower surface of crimping with the edge of the transverse monotailpiece, the upper one impeding the excessive elevation of the proper extremity.
Abstract: A sheet metal clip with opposed overlapping first and second ends includes a guide tongue integral with the first end and receivable within an integral chamber adjacent the second end. A pair of integral projecting columns adjacent the first end are received through two holes formed adjacent the second end and closely conform thereto to retain the overlapped ends against longitudinal and rotational movements.
Abstract: A hose clamp having a metal band provided with two closed end loops. Each end loop has a pair of aligned slots. A first loop is formed of a curved section and a straight section. A captive nut comprising a tubular threaded portion with a curved backing flange is inserted in the loop with the tubular portion projecting through a slot and the flanged portion abutting the internal curved portion of the loop. A tightening bolt with a flanged head is passed through the second loop and is threaded into the tubular portion to close the loop. A second embodiment shows a bridging element pivoted to the second loop.
Abstract: An improved clamping collar of the type comprising a hooped band, one end of which mounts thereon a support for a rotatable screw which meshes with teeth stamped at the opposite end of the band. The support is formed by a portion having a U-shaped section which has longitudinal entrant portions which are fitted into the neck of the screw for providing the necessary support for same, and for preventing the screw from coming out on slackening of the clamping collar.
