    Abstract: An iron sulfide cleaning composition is described, along with a process for using the iron sulfide cleaning composition. The iron sulfide cleaning composition is simple to use and effective in removing deposits of iron sulfide from hydrocarbon wells. The iron sulfide cleaning composition consists of formaldehyde or glutaraldehyde, methanol, 2-butoxyethanol, isopropyl alcohol, hydrochloric acid, Surfactant Intermediate, Surfactant/Corrosion Inhibitor, glacial acetic acid and water.
