  • Patent number: 6451400
Abstract: There is provided a mat having multiple sets of pins, each set of pins being located within surrounding, characterized in that the pins do not extend significantly beyond the highest point of the surrounding. Thus the pins are protected by the surrounding and are less likely to break after extended use. The mat may be provided with areas adapted for the receipt of strips of textile materials, eg carpeting which advantageously has a hard-backing and is able to snap into the areas provided. The inclusion of the textile material combines a scraping function together with the visual appearance of a carpet. The strips of textile material will be separated by sets of pins as described above. A set of such mats is also described.

  • Patent number: 5494724
Abstract: A washable, water and dust binding service mat having a nap and a rubber or plastics backing layer, whereby the nap and a woven ground fabric for the tufting is fastened in the backing layer material, the ground fabric for the tufting comprising a layer of woven primary fabric of synthetic split fibers being calendered together by a heat setting operation with a layer of a nonwoven fiber fleece which prior to this heat setting operation has been needled together with the woven primary fabric by a needle technique. The nonwoven fiber fleece has an area weight of 80-150 grams/m.sup.2, consists of two or more kinds of synthetic fibers, with one having a softening temperature lower than the other synthetic fiber.

  • Patent number: 5233787
Abstract: A pile mat for the elimination of vermins on pets walking indoor as well as outdoor, and to which pile mat is added an insecticide which may be dispensed from the mat to the pet resting on the mat. The surface of the pile mat is impregnated with an insecticide for the dispension thereof by contact to said surface or by slow evaporation from said surface. The pile mat has a water proof backing and a napped primary texture fastened thereto, whereby the nap yarns and the primary texture have been supplied with the insecticide.

  • Patent number: 5136771
Abstract: In a method for keeping an easily removable mat or similar small carpet (5) in place in a carpeted or carpet tile covered area (1) of a floor, the mat (5) is provided with a pattern of engageable means, such as projections (6), distributed all over its lower side. One or more parts (2) of the floor area (1) to be covered by the mat (5) is kept or made free from carpeting or carpet tile covering, and said one or more uncovered parts (2) of the floor area (1) is provided with an anchoring plate material (7), the upper surface of which is performed with engageable to engage the lower side of the mat (5) for preventing a horizontal displacement of the mat. Then the mat (5) is arranged in place for covering the anchoring plate material (7) and for engagement between its lower side and the upper surface of the anchoring plate material (7). Thereby is obtained that the mats may be easily replaced and no risk occurs for the people walking on the carpeted area (1) during the replacement.

  • Patent number: 5133099
Abstract: Method for dyeing a cotton nap fabric or carpet wherein the dyestuffs belong to a group of vat dyestuffs and reactive dyestuffs and are applied to the cotton nap. The product after the application of the dyestuff is treated with a uniform application of a liquid agent from a group of agents which are able to make the selected dyestuff absorbable by cotton.

  • Patent number: 5061430
Abstract: Method for press vulcanizing, not only of dry, wholly or partly vulcanizable articles (1), such as auto rubber mats, piled rubber mats, etc., of a humidity of 0-3 weight percent but also of such articles (1) of a humidity of 3-5 weight percent or more, in the press zone of a vulcanizing press (P) having a shiftable part for closing and opening of the press (P) capable of applying a uniform surface pressure against any article (1) fed into the press. In that at least from the beginning of the vulcanizing operation to the end of it, a multitude of flow routes is established between the press shiftable part and each article (1) for vapors and gases released from each article (1), and a multitude of flow routes out from the press zone from where said vapors and gases may thus escape at least along part of the border of said press zone border, a method is brought about in which no vulcanizing heat is lost for heating of confined vapors and gases at high pressures.

  • Patent number: 5029729
Abstract: By method of dispensing vapor, preferably perfumed vapor, to the air in a room from a vapor dispensing substance, vapor is dispensed by means of an electrically controlled control device for controlling the vapor dispensation of the vapor dispensing substance, and an electrical circuit for controlling the current supply to the control device. By the fact that the electrical circuit is supplying a time controlled, gradually increasing current supply to the control device in time periods with intermediate periods of no current supply to the control device is achieved that the concentration of the vapor dispensed is kept at a constant level, until the vapor dispensation substance has been used up.

  • Patent number: 4929820
Abstract: In that a method for bar code marking on vulcanizable or vulcanized rubber products, where the bar code of each marking varies from the preceding one, a bar code pattern (4) is given to the rubber product (2) through a source of electromagnetic radiation which is controlled by a computer electronic word processing system to form the bar code pattern (4) required on the rubber product (2) surface, i.e., the first side (12) and focusing on this, and that the source of radiation wavelengths and energy are adapted to the kind of marking and marking (4) depth required in the rubber product (2), higher bar code wearability is achieved.
