Patent number: 5975717Abstract: A chaser icicle light set includes a transversely extending common wire portion, and a plurality of transversely spaced, parallel light strings depending from the common wire portion. Each light string defines a plurality of lamp sockets physically disposed in a series. The lamp sockets of the plurality of light strings are organized into a plurality of series-wired sets corresponding to given points along the lengths of the light strings. All lamp sockets of a given set within a given light string being electrically disposed in series. The number of the lamp sockets in each light string is an exact multiple of the number of sets. Controls for actuating and deactivating the sets successively produce a cascade wherein each set of each light string flashes on and off in substantially horizontal unison as a set to provide a chaser icicle effect.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 1997Date of Patent: November 2, 1999Assignee: Minami International Corp.Inventor: Najeh Rahman

Patent number: 5934793Abstract: A net light includes at least one light string, each light string defining intermediate portions and including a plurality of lamp sockets and a plurality of electrical wires. Fasteners are provided for connecting an adjacent pair of the intermediate portions together intermediate an adjacent pair of lamps sockets in each light string. The plurality of wires in each light string is twisted together intermediate the lamp sockets thereof; and the plurality of wires in each light string, except for one wire of each light string, is twisted together adjacent to the lamp sockets thereof. The one wire of each light string is in electrical communication with the plurality of lamp sockets in the light string.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 1997Date of Patent: August 10, 1999Assignee: Minami International Corp.Inventor: Najeh Rahman

Patent number: 5807134Abstract: In an electrical lamp socket assembly for receiving an externally threaded light bulb having a central longitudinal axis and providing electrical coupling to a pair of lead wires, the improvement wherein a central conductor extends through a transversely extending opening of an insulative bottom platform. The central conductor has a base portion having a piercing tab for contacting one of the pair of lead wires and a transversely extending, resiliently flexible strip portion. The strip portion has an end immediately extending from the base portion, an opposed free end disposed below the top of the bottom platform, and an upwardly-projecting, generally convexly curved intermediate segment connecting the strip portion ends, extending through and above the top of the bottom platform and through the central axis for defining a conductor for contacting a bottom-end conductor of the light bulb.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 1996Date of Patent: September 15, 1998Assignee: Minami International Corp.Inventor: Kanichi Hara

Patent number: 4985001Abstract: An appliance holder comprises an electrically insulative housing defining a first cavity for receiving an electrical appliance and a second cavity for receiving a pair of electrical wires, and electrically conductive contacts for operatively connecting the electrical appliance and the pair of wires. The appliance holder additionally includes a generally U-shaped clip of electrically insulative resilient material. The clip defines a pair of legs and a bight connecting the legs, the bight and legs being configured and dimensioned to pass around a plurality of other electrical wires. The free ends of the legs are received within and releasably engage the housing for integrating the clip, the appliance holder, the pair of wires, the other electrical wires, and the electrical appliance for movement as a unit.Type: GrantFiled: January 16, 1990Date of Patent: January 15, 1991Assignee: Minami International Corp.Inventor: Toshio Nagai
