Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for a system, devices, and methods for simultaneous localization and mapping in a high- and low-frequency dynamic environment. One exemplary embodiment relates to a method that includes generating a first SLAM map of the environment; generating a second SLAM map of a portion of the environment at least in part from visual feature data received from a first client device located in the portion of the environment; receiving a localization signal from a second client device indicating the location of the client device; sending, in response to the localization signal, data that includes a minimum number of map points that a SLAM process on the second client device should be able to detect in the portion of environment.
Abstract: The invention concerns an arrangement comprising an electrical stimulator (1), a programming system (25) for assisting a user in programming it for performing a determined body movement by neuromuscular stimulation; and an input device (24) operable by the user. The programming system is configured to: decompose the neuromuscular movement into distinct actions (31), select one of them, and configuring the electrical stimulator with the electrical stimulation parameters associated with the selected action. The programming system is further configured to select one electrical stimulation parameter among the electrical stimulation parameters associated with the selected distinct action, and, in a cycle performed while the electrical stimulator is connected to the user's body: to receive a value of the selected electrical stimulation parameter through the input device (24); and to configure the electrical stimulator (1) with the received value of the selected electrical stimulation parameter.
Abstract: Virtual reality method intended to be implemented in a virtual reality system, the method including the production of a stimulus in the system during a period of stimulation, the stimulus including: a projection of an image sequence; a production of a first sound signal including a soundtrack linked to the progress of the image sequence; a production of a second sound signal having a first frequency and a third sound signal having a second frequency, the second sound signal being audible from one ear and the third sound signal being audible from the other ear of the user; a production of a fourth sound signal including a spoken presentation; during an initial portion of said predetermined period, the stimulus further including an induction signal; and during a final portion of said predetermined period, the intensity of the sound signals decreasing in intensity until a zero intensity, and the image sequence decreasing in intensity until a zero intensity.
Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses and devices for detecting facial expressions according to EMG signals for a virtual and/or augmented reality (VR/AR) environment, in combination with a system for simultaneous location and mapping (SLAM), are presented herein.
