Abstract: A multiple solution IV administration system includes a plurality of IV fluid sources which are connected by flexible tubing to the inlet of an IV pump. A sequence valve suspended from the tubing selectively pinches off all but one tube so that one source at a time is connected to the inlet. The sequence valve is controlled as a function of the accumulated volume pumped by the pump for each fluid and a stored volume limit for that fluid. When the accumulated volume of one IV fluid reaches its volume limit, the sequence valve is changed to connect a different source to the inlet of the IV pump. The desired volume limits and rates are entered manually and are checked automatically to protect against setup errors.

Abstract: Polymeric compositions are provided in which perfluoropolyethers have been solubilized in non-fluorinated solvents by combining them with a solubilizing agent such as azotic conjugated compounds, and phosphorylated compounds. Typical of the perfluoropolyethers is ##STR1## Typical of the solubilizing agent is phosphorylated methacryloyloxyhydroxypropylisophthalate. The perfluoropolyether and the solubilizing agent are mixed to form a paste which is soluble in organic solvents such as methylethylketone. These compositions find utility as protective lubricant coatings for thin film magnetic recording media. They have the advantage that only one coating step is required in order to apply both the phosphorylated compound and the lubricating polyether. Recording media lubricated with these compositions have demonstrated excellent wear characteristics.

Abstract: An improved decoder for a recorder-decoder system wherein a threshold level detector is included in the decoder. The recorder provides for the recording of an audio signal plus a data signal. The data signal includes zero crossing information for sequential increments of time plus an indication of whether the threshold level was met for an increment of the recorded audio. Upon playback the decoder also provides a data signal based on the recorded audio. The threshold level detector of the decoder is higher than that of the recorder. If the recorded data signal indicates the threshold was not met and the same threshold indication is not provided by the threshold level detector of the decorder for the corresponding increment of the recorded audio signal, tampering of such audio increment of the recorded audio is considered to have occurred.
