Abstract: An improved reinforcement backrest for a chair which includes a reinforcement member such as a metal plate inserted into the backrest to provide reinforcement support when a person sitting in the chair leans against the backrest. The reinforcement member includes connection members by which the backrest is removably inserted and retained in the rear section of the chair. The reinforcement member is preferably metal such as steel to withstand the force of a heavy person leaning against the backrest, but other materials such as strong carbon fiber will also provide adequate reinforcement support.
