  • Publication number: 20210333699
Abstract: At least one embodiment relates to a mirror assembly. The mirror assembly includes an interior portion and a wall. The wall includes an exterior reflective surface. At least a portion of the wall can allow light to pass from the interior portion through the wall. The mirror assembly includes a light source and a lens located within the interior portion. The lens can be arranged to receive light from the light source and to direct such light through the portion of the wall so as to project an image beyond the exterior reflective surface.

  • Patent number: 11073444
Abstract: A test method includes deriving road grade information or wind load information from test schedule torque outputs generated by a dynamometer operatively arranged with a first vehicle, and controlling an accelerator pedal, an accelerator pedal signal, a fuel injector, a manifold pressure, a motor controller, or a throttle valve associated with the first or a second vehicle according to a speed schedule such that the dynamometer, or another dynamometer, programmed with the road grade information or wind load information and operatively arranged with the first or second vehicle applies a load to the first or second vehicle that reflects the road grade information or wind load information.

  • Publication number: 20130144476
Abstract: A vehicle with at least two forwardly positioned steerable road wheels and at least first and second rearwardly positioned wheels disposed on opposing lateral sides of the vehicle is provided with first and second electric motors adapted to apply driving and braking torque to the respective rearwardly positioned wheels. The first and second electric motors are independently controllable. At least one angle sensor is configured to provide an output indicative of a steering angle of the steerable road-wheels. At least one speed sensor configured to provide an output indicative of the vehicle longitudinal speed. A vehicle yaw-rate sensor is configured to provide an output indicating the vehicle's measured yaw-rate.

  • Patent number: 6989087
Abstract: A method of forming a surface finish of trivalent chromium on metal or plastics substrates by electrodeposition from an aqueous plating solution of trivalent chromium ions in which the trivalent chromium is deposited on a layer of silver or silver alloy whereby the color and/or corrosion resistance of the trivalent chromium is comparable to surface finishes of hexavalent chromium. The invention avoids the health and safety risks associated with the electrodeposition of hexavalent chromium surface finishes.

  • Patent number: 5009085
Abstract: An absorption-cycle heat pump comprises a rotary assembly including a vapor generator (GE,14), a condenser (CO,23), an absorber (AB,22), an evaporator (EV) and a solution heat exchanger (X,16). The vapor generator, the condenser and the absorber each include a wall (14, 23, 22 respectively) across which the volatile component (preferably water) and/or a liquid absorbent therefore are caused to flow under the action of the forces generated during rotation of the assembly. The evaporator comprises a plurality of finned heat exchange tubes 31 into which the volatile component is injected with a radially inwardly-directed component of motion, the tubes being of generally elliptical configuration disposed with their major axes extending generally radially.
