Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system implemented in a digital TV receiver that provides a broadcaster with a reliable method of ingesting alternative video and/or audio content received through a broadband connection, replacing parts of the main video and/or audio content, received from the broadcast transmission signal, aiming to customize the consumer's experience during digital video and/or audio consumption. The system regularly evaluates the digital TV receiver's environment parameters that may vary at any time, as well as its connection to the Internet.
