Abstract: An image-forming machine which forms an image on a photosensitive material drum which passes through the steps of electric charging, exposure to light, developing and transfer. A pair of side walls are disposed opposite to each other, spaced at a distance. Inner wheels of bearings have an inner wheel and an outer wheel. The inner wheels are secured to the outer peripheral surfaces of the photosensitive material drum at both ends thereof, and outer wheels of the bearings are secured to the corresponding side walls, so that the photosensitive material drum is rotatably supported by the side walls.
Abstract: The present invention makes it possible to effectively make self-repair of a fault by referencing repair analysis cases. The cases are hierarchically classified according to the fault symptom, the fault and the class, and a case suitable for a fault developed is selected to perform repair work. In applying a case, the case is corrected as required. If work succeeded by the corrected case, the corrected case is registered in the same class as a class to which the original case belongs, to make each class rich in case contents.
Abstract: An image-forming machine, such as an electrostatic copying machine, having a number of optional features. A display device is provided for displaying the number or type of toner cartridge loaded in the main body of a developing device. An image-forming condition adjusting device is provided for adjusting the image-forming conditions in response to a toner cartridge loaded in the main body. A life signal producing device is provided for signaling the end of the service life of the electrostatographic material. The life signal is produced in response to a cartridge replacement signal and a final cartridge signal. Alternatively, the life signal is produced in response to a final cartridge signal and either a signal indicating a predetermined number of rotations of the image-bearing member or a cartridge replacement signal, whichever is produced earlier. A toner removing blade is held at a non-operating position when a process unit is detached from the image-forming machine and positioned in a unit holding box.
