  • Patent number: 7181755
Abstract: The digital broadcasting station describes the first unique information as identification information in addition to the event identification prescribed by ARIB standard as opposed to LIT describing the detailed information of local event. The first unique information is for example a date of amended Julian calendar. Therefore, the digital broadcasting receiver can identify the digital broadcasting program uniquely for a long term based on the event identification and the first unique information. Besides, the digital broadcasting station and the digital broadcasting receiver with the use of program extended information such as LIT are not yet put to practical use and so the existing digital broadcasting receiver had to be changed neither.

  • Publication number: 20060069831
Abstract: A module has an IC for communication control (a PHY unit) and an EEPROM (or MCU) connected to the PHY unit via an I2C bus. When a software reset is triggered while the PHY unit reads non-volatile register (NVR) data from the EEPROM (or MCU) via the I2C bus, the module causes an I2C interface circuit of the PHY unit to forcedly toggle and send a clock signal to the EEPROM (or MCU) via the I2C bus to make the EEPROM (or MCU) recognize that interrupted communications via the I2C bus are pseudo completed.

  • Publication number: 20040064606
Abstract: A DMA control circuit controls DMA transfer between a flash memory and a main memory. An S/P bus conversion circuit converts serial data output from the flash memory into parallel data and outputs the parallel data to the main memory. This eliminates the need for the CPU downloading file data from the flash memory to the main memory, allowing connection of a non-volatile memory with a large capacity, without reduction in the processing speed of the system.

  • Patent number: 6709115
Abstract: A projector 1 has a first casing 1A (including a first part 2 and a second part 3) and a second casing 1B (including a third part 4). The second casing 1B is moved between an enlarging position where the second casing 1B is protruded from the first casing 1A and a reducing position where the second casing 1B is retracted into the first casing 1A. As the second casing 1B moves to the enlarging position, the distance between the exhaust ports 45 and the exhaust fan 9 increases, so that the wind noise is restricted. As the second casing 1B moves to the reducing position, the exhaust ports 45 are concealed in the first casing 1A, so that the entry of the dust or the like into the projector 1 is prevented.

  • Patent number: 6555960
Abstract: In a cell drive-type flat display panel, a metal electrode pad 26 and common signal line 24 are disposed outside the area (effective area) facing a recessed portion forming a cell. The individual cell electrode 20 acting as a cell electrode within the effective area is connected to a metal electrode pad 26 by extending each cell electrode to the metal electrode pad 26, while the metal electrode is not extended toward the effective area to cover each cell electrode. A common electrode 22 is connected to the common signal line 24 by extending each cell electrode to the metal electrode pad 26, while the metal electrode is not extended toward the effective area and to cover each cell electrode. This structure makes the cell electrodes flat and can reduce the drive voltage from the effect resulting from the suppressed dielectric film. The metal electrode pad 26 has a top surface on which a pin electrode is posted.

  • Patent number: 6479356
Abstract: A gate insulating film and gate electrodes are formed on a substrate containing N-type impurities such as P or As. Under the gate insulating film is a gate region on both sides of which are a first and a second source drain region. The gate region is furnished in its central part with a high-concentration channel injection region containing N-type impurities at a concentration higher than that of the substrate. Between the high-concentration channel injection region on the one hand and the first and the second source drain region and on the other hand, there are formed a first and a second low-concentration channel injection region and having substantially the same impurity concentration as that of the substrate.

  • Patent number: 5675202
Abstract: Irregularities on the face of the pulley groove of the pulley for driving the rotor shaft of the generator through the one-way clutch are positively extended and a frictional force between the face and the belt is increased, so that a higher torque than the drag torque can be transmitted to the one-way clutch without causing a slippage of the belt. Since no slippage occurs on the belt, the belt life can be extended. Since the one way clutch is positively operated, the inertial energy of the rotor can be effectively recovered.

  • Patent number: 5594392
Abstract: A VCO circuit 4 of a PLL circuit 1 includes M delay time variable inverters 5.1 to 5.M which are connected in a ring shape. Load driving capability of delay time variable inverters 5.1 to 5.M is increased gradually toward output node OUT which is connected directly to load capacity CL. Accordingly, a high load driving capability is obtained without provision of a separate buffer.

  • Patent number: 5521830
Abstract: In a system including a machine tool which operates on conveyed workpieces, a motion controller for the NC-controlled machine tool is improved by performing compensation for conveyor movement outside of the operation processor, so that compensation may be performed without modification of a machining program which does not take conveyor movement into consideration.

  • Patent number: 5506799
Abstract: A multiplying circuit having sign carry correcting circuits which set all bits of a multiplier Y subjected to sign extension to a certain specific value ("0" or "1"), and when a sign bit, which is the highest bit of effective data in the data to be multiplied, is carried, a specific value signal is input to a bit input portion of a Booth decoder, receiving both the least significant invalid bit and the most significant effective bit of the multiplier, according to a value of a sign extension control signal. In addition, a value inputted to partial product adding circuits from an intermediate result shift circuit is set to a multiplicand value according to the value of a predetermined number of least significant bits of the multiplier, and the multiplier bits excluding the predetermined number of least significant bits inputted to the intermediate result shift circuit are inputted to multiple generating circuits.

  • Patent number: 3943430
Abstract: A circuit for reducing thyristor turn-off time includes a thyristor connected between a power source and a load. A voltage source is connected between the anode and the cathode of the thyristor for applying across the anode and the cathode of the thyristor, upon actuation of a switch, an electrical signal sufficient to block the forward current of the thyristor. A rectifier and an impedance connected between the gate and the cathode of the thyristor cause a reverse current to flow in the gate of the thyristor upon application of the voltage source.
