  • Patent number: 7937267
Abstract: In a speech decoding method and apparatus, an adaptive code vector is obtained from an adaptive codebook, and a time series vector is obtained from an excitation codebook. Gains of the adaptive code vector and an excitation code vector are respectively decoded from a gain code. The gain of the adaptive code vector is classified into a first gain corresponding to a first noise level or a second gain corresponding to a second noise level. A value is determined based on the classifying results, and a mathematical operation is performed on the time series vector and the determined value. The adaptive code vector and the time series vector are weighted by the decoded gains, and an excitation signal is obtained by adding the weighted adaptive code vector and the weighted time series vector. A speech is synthesized using the excitation signal and a decoded linear prediction parameter.

  • Patent number: 7923729
Abstract: An active matrix substrate with a high aperture ratio is provided, which is capable of preventing electrical short circuits between pixel electrodes and auxiliary capacitive electrodes. Gate lines and auxiliary capacitive electrodes are formed on an insulated substrate. The auxiliary capacitive electrodes have holes formed therethrough. To cover the gate lines and the auxiliary capacitive electrodes, a first interlayer insulating film is formed, on which source lines, a semiconductor layer, and drain electrodes are formed. Then, a second interlayer insulating film is formed to cover all those layers. In the second interlayer insulating film, contact holes are formed to reach the drain electrodes in areas corresponding to the areas of the holes. Pixel electrodes formed on the second interlayer insulating film are connected to the drain electrodes through the contact holes.

  • Patent number: 7924693
Abstract: An optical disk physical has a recording region divided into zones, each zone including physical tracks adjacent to each other. An integer number of sectors are provided in each physical track. The angular recording density is higher in the more outward zones such that the linear recording density is substantially constant throughout the recording region, and logical tracks are formed of a predetermined number of sectors, independent of the physical tracks. The conversion between the logical track and sector addresses read from the disk and the linear logical addresses supplied from a host device is easy. The addresses written in headers of the sectors in the logical track in which data are actually recorded, including substitute sectors used in place of defect sectors, are preferably consecutive to further facilitate the conversion between the logical track and sector addresses read from the disk and the linear logical addresses supplied from the host device.

  • Patent number: 7909144
Abstract: Since the elevator type is varied, a set value used for judging car oscillation must be set for each elevator, which requires much time and labor. Also, if the criteria of all elevators are represented by one set value to eliminate the time and labor required for the setting, variations in detection occur. A car oscillation detecting device includes a means in which a set value, which is used as a criterion for judging car oscillation, is stored in advance as a table or a relational expression in which an elevator specification is used as a parameter, and the set value is selected automatically by using the information of the elevator specification, by which the time and the labor for setting are eliminated. Further, since the set value is a value suitable for that elevator, variations in detection can be restrained, and hence the reliability is high.

  • Patent number: 7911172
Abstract: An accurate load position control is made possible even when rigidity of a load drive system using a motor is relatively low. Load position signal xl is a present-position measurement value of a load, and after compensation in response to a phase delay thereof has been performed by a stability compensation circuit, the high-frequency portion thereof is taken as a control-target position signal xfb by replacing, in a position-signal combination circuit, a motor position signal xm as a present-position measurement value of a motor, and then the control-target position signal xfb is fed back to a position control circuit. Thereby, a torque command signal indicating a torque target value for driving the load is outputted.

  • Patent number: 7912015
Abstract: In the mobile radio communication system where the UMTS and an another system coexist an idle slot for observing the frequency component of another system is inserted in one superframe of UMTS. The duration of this idle slot is at most half of the duration of one frame that form the superframe and it is inserted at an interval of a specified number of frames. Therefore, the frequency component of the another system can be observed securely from the UMTS. Further, the deterioration of interleaving performance of the compressed mode frames during such observation can be suppressed.
