Publication number: 20060251117Abstract: A method for configuring a telecommunications system including a plurality of entities communicating data via a plurality of transport channels. The entities include at least one sending entity and receiving entity. The communication includes a plurality of processing procedures specific to the plurality of transport channels. Each processing procedure includes a rate matching step including a transformation of an input block of an initial size into an output block of a final size by puncturing and/or repetition. The method includes transmitting a parameter representative of a maximum puncture rate. The method also includes calculating by the sending entity, for each processing procedure, the final size of the output block as a function of the initial size of the input block based on the parameter transmitted. Some input block bits are punctured or repeated based on a variation between a final size and an initial size in the rate matching step.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 30, 2006Publication date: November 9, 2006Applicant: MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC TELECOM EUROPEInventor: Vincent Belaiche

Publication number: 20020021718Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the synchronization of at least one mobile station with a base station within a mobile telecommunication network. According to the invention, it is proposed to intensify the synchronization signal at regular intervals during a short time interval called reinforced synchronization interval or RSI interval. The cycle of activity of the synchronization channel of the base station is thus increased on a time interval corresponding to the reinforced synchronization interval. This will reduce the effective time of acquisition of the synchronization signal and thereby reduce the size or number of time windows needed for this acquisition. The cycle of activity of the synchronization channel is increased by increasing the number of synchronization bursts during the RSI interval. Application to UMTS-FDD type third-generation telecommunication networks.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 17, 2001Publication date: February 21, 2002Applicant: MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC TELECOM EUROPEInventors: Samuel Kerhuel, Vincent Antoine Victor Belaiche, Nicolas Voyer
