  • Patent number: 4955532
Abstract: An automatic toll collector for a toll road includes a cashbox receiving a toll thrown into a toll receiving inlet. Trigger holes, address holes and identification number holes are disposed on the bottom surface of the cashbox in a predetermined pattern in an insertion direction of the cashbox and are detected by proximity sensors disposed in the direction perpendicular to the insertion direction of the cashbox to recognize the identification number of the cashbox. Since the identification number is recognized by the correspondence between data of the address holes and data of the identification number, the identification number can be recognized exactly even if the cashbox is retried to be inserted several times.

  • Patent number: 4954761
Abstract: A control system of an industrial robot includes an operation program read out from a storage medium and stored and calculated to obtain data so that a robot machine is controlled on the basis of the data. An external memory has function of a conventional internal memory and it is limited to store one program in, for example, an IC card constituting the storage medium and the IC card is inserted into the external memory to supply the operation program. A plurality of operation programs are previously stored in, for example, a floppy disk device constituting a recording medium of the external memory and a desired program is selected by a keyboard to directly supply it to the controller of the robot to operate the robot.

The first balance mechanism includes a flexible coupling device such as, for example, a chain, led through a guide, which couples between a coupling element of a coupling member which is mounted to a center of angular movement of a proximal end of the first arm and a spring having one end fixed to the stand and which is moved in the direction of deformation when the first arm is angularly moved. The second balance mechanism includes a counterbalancer disposed in the opposite side to an operation side of the second arm and a center of angular movement of the second arm constitutes a fulcrum. The balance mechanisms can be applied to the robot without exchanging parts greatly even if the robot is installed in any position.

  • Patent number: 4848096
Abstract: A refrigeration systems diagnoses its pressure sensors by turning the system off, determining whether the pressure sensors on the high-pressure-side and on the low-pressure-side of a refrigeration circuit detect unvarying pressures, and comparing the pressure values detected by a high pressure sensor and a low pressure sensor with each other. The high pressure sensor or the low pressure sensor is regarded as defective when the difference between the two pressures detected falls outside a tolerance range. In one embodiment an analyzer compares the pressures to produce a signal indicating failure when the pressure difference falls outside the tolerance range.

  • Patent number: 4757454
Abstract: This invention provides a system for recording operation data of a machine, wherein a program for converting signals stored through a sensor or measuring means into operation data in conformity with the increase or alteration of the sensor or measuring means due to the operation status of the machine or to the type of the component of the machine is preliminarily stored in one or separate card-type external memory or other transportable external memory. The terminal of the system is designed to allow an connection of various kinds of the sensor or measuring means. Accordingly, it is possible to conduct processing and recording of various kinds of operation data by exchanging the external memory stored with a prescribed operation data-processing program, or by changing the writing of the program. It is also possible to record operation data in the external memory stored with the operation data-processing program after the program is read out to simplify the operation of an operator.
