  • Patent number: 6113863
Abstract: Five combustion exhaust gas treatment systems capable of removing dust and selenium (Se) in combustion exhaust gas and making harmless are proposed: (1) combustion exhaust gas is cooled to 350.degree. C. or less, dust is separated, Se is transformed into insoluble compound, and Se is separated; (2) combustion exhaust gas is cooled to 350.degree. C. or less, dust is separated, Se elution preventive agent is added, and dust is formed into scale; (3) dust in combustion exhaust gas is collected by dust collector, dust is formed into slurry by making use of part of circulation liquid in desulfurization apparatus, and tetravalent Se in dust slurry is transformed into insoluble compound, which is separated into solid and liquid; (4) dust is separated from combustion exhaust gas by dust collector, and it is heated to gasify Se, and is led into desulfurization apparatus, etc.

  • Patent number: 5397876
Abstract: A high frequency bolt heater is provided which can heat up the inside of a narrow hole much faster than a conventional bolt heater employing a resistance wire. The high frequency bolt heater includes an induction heating coil made of a copper tube bent in a hairpin fashion and whose shape is made approximately circular in section by pinching a magnet between opposed portions thereof. The heater can be inserted into a hole bored in the axial direction of a metallic bolt. A length of the coil is made approximately equal with that of the bored hole, and the magnet is omitted from a region of the heater which corresponds to a screw portion of the bolt for mounting a nut. An adjustable stopper made of a heat resistant electrical insulator is provided for setting a necessary length of the induction heating coil to be inserted into the hole, and a heat resistant insulator is provided on the surface of the induction heating coil.

  • Patent number: 4314345
Abstract: In a first processor unit the relationship between the amount of nitrogen oxides in a combustion exhaust gas and a numerical value representing an amount of combustion, e.g. - fuel flow rate or the like, is stored. In a second processor unit the ratio of ammonia to nitrogen oxides as a function of the combustion exhaust gas temperature is stored. A numerical value corresponding to the actual measured amount of combustion is inputted to the first processor unit to derive the amount of nitrogen oxides in the combustion exhaust gas. The actual measured combustion exhaust gas temperature is inputted to the second processor unit to derive the ratio of ammonia to nitrogen oxides. The optimum amount of ammonia to be injected is derived by multiplying the amount of nitrogen oxides, derived by means of the first processor unit, by the ratio of ammonia to nitrogen oxides derived by means of the second processor unit.
