Abstract: An optical scanning apparatus includes: a light source; a lens through which a light emitted from the light source transmits; a reflective member reflecting the light transmitting the lens; and a mirror configured to scan the light reflected by the reflective member. The light is projected in the same direction as an emitting direction of the light from said light source by causing said mirror to swing. The reflective member has a first reflective surface facing toward the light source and a second reflective surface facing toward a light exit surface from which the light exits from the optical scanning apparatus. The light source and the lens are arranged in a longitudinal direction of a case of the optical scanning apparatus. • Patent number: 6687075
Abstract: A recording-medium holder insertion detection apparatus includes a motor which is engaged with the recording-medium holder placed at a first position within a recording/reproducing system, the motor moving the holder in an insertion direction from the first position when the motor is rotated by a drive voltage, and the motor generating an alternating voltage when the motor is rotated by a manual insertion of the holder so as to reach a second position. A detection circuit outputs a pulsed signal in response to the alternating voltage generated by the motor. A determination unit calculates a distance of the holder away from the first position in the insertion direction based on the pulsed signal output by the detection circuit, and outputs a drive-start signal when the calculated distance has reached a predetermined distance between the first position and the second position.

  • Publication number: 20030043501
Abstract: A front shutter attaching structure comprises flanges formed on peripheral surfaces of coaxial pivots of a front shutter and hooks formed at a cover for covering an upper side of a main frame. The front shutter is attached to the main frame by inserting of the pivots into holes formed in side plates of the main frame. Because the flanges are impossible to be inserted into the holes of the main frame, they restrict movement of the front shutter in a direction along the pivots against the main frame. Each of the hooks is located between a door member of the front shutter and each of the flanges when the cover is fixed to the main frame. The hooks restrict movement of the flanges in the direction along the pivots at the base side of the pivots.

  • Publication number: 20020056778
Abstract: In order to release a reel hub lock by operating a lock lever (41) in response to rotation of a ring cam (51), a reel hub lock releasing (30) mechanism comprises a seesaw-type release lever (31) rotatably disposed on a back surface of a chassis (12) around a fulcrum part (311) at a center thereof. The seesaw-type release lever comprises first and second plate bodies (312, 313) extending from the fulcrum part toward both sides. The first plate body has, at a tip thereof, an engaging projection (34) engaged with a cam groove (51a) of the ring cam. The second plate body has, at a tip thereof, a lever operating projection (33) which projects upward to operate the lock lever. Disposed around the fulcrum part, a spring (35) is for preventing a part from falling away to fit the seesaw-type release lever to the chassis.

  • Patent number: 6078541
Abstract: A device controller for controlling the operation of the drive device. The controller includes a microprocessor, a volatile memory, and a non-volatile memory. The non-volatile memory stores an uncompressed decompression program and a compressed device operating program. The microprocessor automatically decompresses the device operating program by executing the decompression program and stores the decompressed device operating program into the volatile memory when the drive is powered up or reset. The microprocessor then executes the device operating program stored in the volatile memory which has a faster data access rate than the non-volatile memory. As the device operating program is stored in a compressed form, the size of the non-volatile memory is minimized. The present invention may also reduce the size of a non-volatile memory for storing data used in a device controller.
