  • Patent number: 7123667
Abstract: Analog processing sections (3a to 3b) generate base band analog signal from the received signal. A/D converting sections (4a to 4b) the outputs of the analog processing sections into digital signals. Soft-decision output equalizers (11a to 11b) make soft decisions on the digital signals. A combining section (12) combines the results of the soft decisions to output a soft-decision value. An error correcting section (13) performs error correction processing with respect to the soft-decision value.

  • Patent number: 7036495
Abstract: Provided is an ignition device for an internal combustion engine which prevents a crack from being produced in a cast insulating resin, and a noise-suppressing resistor from being damaged. An ignition device for an internal combustion engine according to the present invention includes a case (3), a cast insulating resin (4), a high-voltage connection terminal (7), and a noise-suppressing resistor (8). The case (3) is composed of a case body (3a) receiving a transformer (2) and a high-voltage tower (3b) having an opening portion (5), and the case body (3a) and the high-voltage tower (3b) communicate with each other through the opening portion (5). The cast insulating resin (4) is injected into the case body (3a) and cured, thus insulating and fixing the transformer (2). The high-voltage connection terminal (7) closes the opening portion (5) such that the cast insulating resin (4) that has not been cured is prevented from entering the high-voltage tower (3b).

  • Patent number: 7004155
Abstract: An ignition apparatus for an internal combustion engine can be reduced in size and cost. A plurality of closed magnetic circuit cores (2) are built in a casing (8) and each have an excitation portion (2a) and non-excitation portions (2b). A plurality of coil parts (100) each includes a primary coil (4) and a secondary coil (6) which are arranged to surround the excitation parts (2a) of a corresponding one of the closed magnetic cores (2). The closed magnetic circuit cores (2) are arranged along an axial direction (A) of the coil parts (100) such that adjacent ones of the non-excitation portions (2b), which are those sides of adjacent cores (2) each of which extends from one end of a corresponding excitation portion (2a), overlap each other at least partially in the axial direction (A).

  • Patent number: 6951206
Abstract: A fuel pressure detector and a pressure accumulator are disposed in a fuel distribution line, an engine control apparatus controlling activation of a fuel pump based on output from the fuel pressure detector. The fuel pump is activated at maximum capacity to fill the fuel distribution line with fuel at a controlled pressure controlled by a fuel pressure regulator, then stopped. In this state, fuel accumulated under pressure in the pressure accumulator replenishes the fuel distribution line until fuel pressure inside the fuel distribution line drops to a predetermined value due to fuel injection by fuel injection valves.

  • Patent number: 6239998
Abstract: An inverter circuit to reduce a resistor for overcurrent detection and decrease the number of filters in an inverter circuit for supplying polyphase power. Transistors each having a current detection terminal and a protective diode for regenerative current are adopted as switching elements on an “L” side and their current detection terminals are connected in common to a resistor. Therefore, a voltage drop caused by a current flowing in the resistor becomes larger when an overcurrent flows in at least one of the transistors and further when an overcurrent flows in a switching element on an “H” side even if no overcurrent flows in any one of the transistors.
