Abstract: A pharmaceutical composition for treating cancer or diabetes which contains the following double-stranded RNA (A) or (B): (A) a double-stranded RNA having a sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:2, SEQ ID NO:4 or SEQ ID NO:8. (B) a double-stranded RNA which has a sequence of 20 to 30 nucleotides that is identical to a partial sequence of a gene encoding human plasma membrane-associated sialidase (NEU3) and contains the sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2, SEQ ID NO: 4, or SEQ ID NO: 8, and the double-stranded RNA inhibits the expression of a gene encoding human plasma membrane-associated sialidase (NEU3).
Abstract: Sialidases localized on plasma membranes having the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2 or SEQ ID NO: 4 and DNA coding for the sialidase having the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 or SEQ ID NO: 3.
Abstract: This invention is an apparatus for drying and burning high-hydrous combustible solids comprising: a hopper for containing high-hydrous combustible solids; a drier for drying said high-hydrous combustible solids when transported from said hopper to said drier 1; a combustion chamber for receiving and burning dried solid from a transportation tube; and a means to lead the waste gas from said combustion chamber to said drier to be used as drying gas. High-hydrous combustible solids are transported to furnace the combustion chamber immediately after being dried in the drier, and the waste gas from the combustion chamber is used as drying gas in the drier.
